^ah, I will try that whenever I get around to fighting Pyro Pete. (heh, hopefully they don’t “fix” that anytime soon.)
Is there a jackpot prize in the Torgue slot machines? I’m just now realizing they exist since I finally started on those story missions. Sadly, I’ve gambled my way down to only 20 or so Torgue tokens. Oh, hearing Mr. Torgue’s voice when a bandit bomb pops out of the machine goes perfectly, btw…: "MUTHAFbeep*KIN SEE YA!" as as bomb goes off in your character’s face…fuckin hilarious, man.
Oh yeah, today it’s snipers:
I got a purple shield out of the gold chest yesterday for my 44 Gunzerker…it’s one of those that adds a boost to HP, so it’s up to 39,900-something at this point…the funny thing is how the TVHM enemies STILL can tear through that HP like it is nothing… I went to Wildlife Preservation area yesterday, and the shit is insane over there. I’m guessing they have “Super Badass” versions of everything… I saw a “Super Badass” Surveyor flying around! Then in that grassy fenced-in area with the Skags, I was killed by a Super Badass Shock Skag! It shoots lightning out of its mouth, folks. Goddamn that’s awesome.
I played co-op with 3 friends yesterday, which is rare since Black Ops 2 came out. We got two Vernimorphous to spawn in Tundra Express, and they dropped nothing but Blues and Greens. No heads, No Pinks, No Orange. Nothing.
What’s the draw behind farming Pete other than him being braindead easy and boring? He drops Crystals, sure, but most Seraph gear is subpar. He also drops a lot less loot than the warrior (1 purple compared to 3). Warrior also dies a lot quicker.
I got an amp Bee yesterday that adds +44k damage. That, and about 15-20 legendaries in three days of playing this week.
Also, how do people kill Hyperious from the entrance in 5 sec flat? Am I missing something? I have an infinity too but it does not drop Hyperious in 5 sec. Or at all. What am I doing wrong?
Never mind, I see Pete’s appeal. He has a higher chance to drop oranges.
The ledge glitch failed me a few times tonight. It’s… odd. Sometimes you just won’t be able to get onto the ledge, and it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with angles or trajectories. I at least got a Lyuda before I ran out of Eridium.
I think you’d have to be Zer0 with the incredible B0re skill(really, every Zer0 should have it, imo…that skill is amazing) to kill Hyperius super-fast… I watched a video on that; it’s because he can use singularity grenades to get Hype’s minions crowded together, then shoot Hype through the crowd… which completely decimates the guy because of what that skill does (it gives all shots a piercing effect thru enemies… you get +100% damage boost on the shot per enemy it goes through. Combined with other damage bonuses, the result is quite ridiculous when you have enemies lined up.) I think the guy in the video also happened to be using the DPUnkempt Harold, which of course happens to be the best pistol in the game.
There’s some cool alternate versions of the enemies as you progress in TVHM… at Forge in the Torgue DLC, I saw some of those flying transformer Loaders…but they were even bigger and a blue/purplish color… and they make a cool sound when transforming to jet mode… that has to be a Transformers reference (G1 of course; that is the real Transformers to me…anything less is uncivilized.) there. At least, that’s what it reminds me of… Decepticon jets!
*Yes, if I saw action figures of all the characters/enemies from this game…I’d definitely buy them.
I got it to work on Xbox. It makes the Raid Bosses a joke. Except for Master Gee since he doesn’t take Bullet Damage. As you can see in the Video, you can keep making Hyperious spawn by going through the gate.
Holy shit that is hilarious. I thought I was shitting on the raid bosses before. The funny thing is that the game had me automatically set on THAT mission to get that weapon and I kept putting it off for weeks lol. I wonder if that allows the infinity to be used with Small, lighter, faster?
Edit: Watch this get patched 2morrow with the dlc.
Man, this shit was sooooooo easy to do right out. The mission to get the gun is a joke of course. But it probably didn’t help that I already have a fibber that lets me one shot all the regular enemies anyways. I just got my infinity to like an excesses of 256 rounds and it mowed through Hyperious. Not fast enough to keep the bots from fully appearing though. I guess that is why he wouldn’t show back up when I went through the door. Gonna try it again on the fibber lol.
Edit: Never mind, I hadn’t realized that I hadn’t beat him with Gaige yet lol. Now I don’t have to switch out anymore.
Ok, I definitely take back what I said about the “Keep Firing” skill. I upgraded my fire-rate with the badass ranks a few times lately (it was the lowest of my badass-rank boosted attributes), and tried it again with 2 SMGs and 2 assault rifles, and I held both triggers down for either set… holy crap this is THE SHIT, man. Just the subtle changes in what I was doing has made all the difference here. The rate of fire boost to these 2 gun types that already have a fast rate of fire (with the exception of Jakobs assault rifles, but who in their right mind even uses that bootleg shit for any reason?)…it’s insane. Now I just need to decide which skills get the last few points now, as this one is level 46…left-overs are in Brawn, so it’s either a few points in “Bus that can’t slow down” or “Just Got Real”… as usual, I’m strongly leaning towards “Bus” again. I love that super-speed.
Anyway, for the loaders, I was going overkill just now with 2 corrosive smgs… it was funny to see just how fast their health bars were erased by that. One of the corrosives is an E-tech that already has a ridiculous rate of fire… then it gets boosted with Keep Firing…Lawd have mercy. They just can’t handle all that.
