haha, there is so much damage Zer0 can dish out… I didn’t realize the extent of it until spending some quality time with this character… the numbers are glorious. Sooo many of his skills are damage boosters it’s insane, and they work together beautifully. I ran across some “Juggernauts” in the Tundra Express area the other day (*on a sidenote, I’ve spent this much time playing the game…and yet this was the first time I’ve seen these enemies!), and I got a headshot critical on one of them for 212k. This version of Zer0 I’m playing (the non-powerleveled one) is level 39 now, so it can obviously get even better as I get more skill points to play with. For now, I’m still working with most points in the Sniping tree, with left-overs going to Cunning (2nd row now; adding points to “Ambush”… though I may want to put at least 1 into “Killing Bl0w” since my “Legendary Hunter” class mod is adding 3 points over there…just 1 point there would result in a +400% for that due to the mod-boost). I was considering changing it to Cunning being the primary skill tree, but I don’t want to give up all this power…not yet…it will have to be much later, like 50 or close to it (of course by that point, you can have points to the bottom of one tree and enough left-over to reach to about the halfway point of the other).
I have some shotgun I recently found that is also quite ridiculous… thanks to “Ambush” and Zero’s other various damage-boosters, the thing is basically a 1 or 2-hit killer on most of the non-boss enemies I’m fighting right now in TVHM. Heh, it only has 2 shots before reloading, but the reload time is hardly anything to worry about thanks to his “Fast Hands” skill on the top row of Cunning.
I can give you my Sandhawk when I do Pirate DLC with Maya. Maybe I can convince my friend to part with his so I can try it with Gaige.
My Fibber is a standard automatic/TMP that reflects off surfaces in a shotgun pattern. With a Bee, I think my Lv.44 CC is actually doing more damage, especially on bosses (EDIT: Lv44 CC does a hell of a lot more damage than my Fibber, nice going Mal/RNG). My Fibber isn’t Redundant though (I forget the prefix), so that could be part of the issue.
Bunker is an annoying farm. Sometimes, the fight will go quickly because he’ll just float there firing missiles at you while you melt him. Other times, he spends five minutes flying around the arena and you just have to wait for him to come back. Some Gaiges swear by the Hail since Close Enough allows you to indiscriminately arc shots over obstacles, but I want a shock Bitch just because it sounds fun and I miss the Bitch. Shredifier also sounds pretty fun.
Striker might be a worthwhile farm for Zer0 since the spread is so tight.
mostly want the bitch for long range fighting for maya. overall i feel that is quite a bit easier to deal with. i left bunker farming to get fibber [my fibber suuucks though] gonna have to get back to farm it more…
Need to get another Sand Hawk though. I fucked up and got that Stopping one but it was more expensive yet had a smaller clip than another one I remember I could have gotten that did the same damage…shit makes no sense.
Trying to solo these invincible is a pain in the ass.
heh, sheeeit… I’m getting close to 20,000 badass points now…somewhere around 19,600 something, and I finally hit 1000 Decepti0n kills for that Nihilism head!
I fought Hyperious the Invincible last night with friends… we died forever to that guy until I went the cheap route and brought in my level 45 Axton. That turret is The Boomin’ System…it is serious business, folks… I don’t remember Roland’s turret being anywhere near that awesome.
No legendaries from 10 Pete kills on 4-player slider…
Earlier on though got a Slagga from him and a Madhous from one of the red chests in the area; good stuff.
One day that Legendary Siren mod will be mine. CBA to try to get Vermivorous to spawn solo, I don’t like dying in one and a half hits to super badasses and higher.
I just recently noticed this… I usually lose interest in my character(s) once they hit the level-cap in games like this where you “level up”. It’s fun to play for awhile, but then it isn’t long before I start over with a fresh or lower-leveled character. So, for me it’s more about that journey and evolution than the actual endgame. The only time I’ve even selected my level 50s (a Sal and Zero) recently has been to give some “hand me down” items to my newer characters as they level up.
cheh, I was back in Gunzerker mode earlier today…just went up to level 40. I haven’t played that character in awhile. I changed him up to be primarily Rampage with leftover points in Brawn. I think this might be most effective version of Sal/Gunzerker. The durability/tank quality still comes through from being able to Gunzerk just about all the time. I miss having the super-speed from “Bus that can’t Slow Down” though, but I’ll get there as he level’s up. However, “Keep Firing” still doesn’t seem to be worth it, imo. Increased fire-rate seems pointless unless you’re frequently using SMG or the automatic (non-Jakobs of course) assault rifles, and I haven’t noticed much of a reload-speed improvement. I may actually take the point out of that and just have 1 more “left-over” point for either Brawn or something else in Rampage. “Steady as She Goes” also seems like a waste of a point, so I avoided that yet again. I also don’t bother with “5 Shots or 6” or “Inconceivable”.
haha… something like 19,000+ HP right now at level 40 on this character… ol’ Sally the Bull is a monster.
Anyway, if any of you guys on xbox have a purple hyperion dmg and reload relic I would be willing to throw some stuff your way. I wonder if I can make my Fibber do 3 million dmg per hit if I set my shit up right with Gaige. Shit is retarded strong.
