If you plan on mostly doing co-op, then starting on the middle tree and stopping on Rez, and then going cataclysm is fine. Starting middle solo can be tough.
IMO, once you start getting to a higher level her healing skills are not as good.
Me personally, I go full Cataclysm and half down her Motion tree. The only skills I use on her middle tree are Mind’s Eye and Sweet Release. I will sometimes respec to Rez if my friends and I are fighting certain bosses or when power leveling.
Oh yeah, I’m back on some adventures leveling up Mechromancer-- she’s level 23. I made sure to skip the stupid shield-heal ability… I think even if they fix it to where he ONLY heals the shields of allies, it’s still not really worth a point compared to certain other things. I was going with a point in Anarchy but I changed my mind there too… so my Gaige/Mechromancer will end up mostly “BFF” tree with left-over points going to the middle one.
I’m having more fun just going with a normal pace of leveling progression for now. Legit Salvador is level 29 now, and Legit Zer0 is 32.
I dunno man, my DT has saved my ass with the shield recharge ability. On the down side he does on occasion recharge enemy shields LOL… when he tries to do it i usually just shoot the enemy and he stops. Just have to say that Gaige + amp sheild + stack + shotgun = beastin.
Oh yeah— Gaige level 28 now, and just got the Thunderclap ability… a class mod boosts “Sterner Stuff” and that other ability on the left that boosts Gaige and DT’s health. Gaige has a cool metal/robot looking face that unlocks once you get 1000 Deathtrap kills. Heh, I haven’t played my level 50 characters in quite awhile now… Legit Zero is now level 34. A good “B0re” shot is always satisfying, then Critical Ascensi0n keeps stacking the damage bonuses as long as you keep getting critical hits… it’s delicious.
Everyone mentioning amp shields in this thread should really just fess up and say that they’re using the Bee. Heck, I still carry my level 31 Bee on my level 42 Gaige for whenever I need to kill a boss quickly while DT is tanking.
I tried non Bee amps, it’s just not the same when you can’t get all your pellets of a CC or Heartbreaker to deal amp damage.

Just remembered something. I’ve been running with this class mod since I was level 22. Am I losing anything by not replacing it despite being close to level 50?

Fleshstick leveling exploit got fixed, and Terra/Gee/Hyperius had their health increased.
I’d imagine that the biggest thing you’d lose by upgrading that mod is either the CDR or all of the talent perks. I run a Prodigy mod with a big boost to More Pep and Cooking Up Trouble (Patient affix) and it helps out a lot, though I miss the CDR on my Roboteer mod. Getting a purple Roboteer mod to drop seems rarer than the other mods.
I felt like I was playing a Borderlands 1 DLC when playing BL2. I haven’t been too motivated to play it because of this. At least I’m playing @ 60 FPS all the time on PC instead of sub-30 FPS the second anything went down back in BL1 on the PS3. Does BL2 run like shit on PS3 this time around too?
Could someone explain the fucktard-ology that is Anarchy stacking? My anarchy stacks randomly disappear while I’m firing my gun. I know that you can’t reload until the gun is empty. But the stacks just disappear at such odd times that I was under the impression for a while that anarchy stacks go away if
you switch weapons too soon after reloading
fire your gun too soon after reloading
switch guns with bullets missing in previous gun
your teammates go down
throw a grenade before reloading
I tested these theories later on and realized that these don’t actually happen. But then later on the stacks just disappeared so randomly that some of these are the only explanation for why they disappeared
Also one bug they should fix. The other day my friend was using the shotgun with the loader AI in it. Somehow every gun he had magically had the sound queues from the shotgun. Now normally this would be tolerable, except for the fact that EVERY SINGLE ACTION he did set off a sound clip, as well as ALL OF THEM at the same time. Reload your gun? Every single reloading sound clip raping your ear holes. Switch weapons? Prepare to have your gun compliment or question you 15 times at once. Fire your gun? May whatever god you worship help your poor soul.
Gamer Guy, were you playing coop when your stacks were disappearing? That was a bug that was just fixed today. If not, post your build and we can probably explain what’s happening.
Yeah I was on co-op. I’ll post my build later when my xbox is on. But I’ll say that all I have into Controlled Chaos is the anarchy skill and the rest is going into Little Big Trouble. I just can’t remember the specifics. I never considered co-op having anything to do with it because I’ve gotten the stacks to 145 on co-op before and then lost em.
This might be what the patch notes are referring to when it mentions fixing an Anarchy multiplayer bug where you lose stacks.
As for the Bee, I never got to farm with it at 50, so I have little input. But straight buffing boss health along with the nerf sounds like a kneejerk fix. We’ll see.
Perhaps just the indirect nerfs to the babymaker and CC without touching the Bee would have been acceptable?
Shield heal sucks for a way reason than healing enemy shields.
When he is doing it, he isn’t killing.
Nothing besides getting Maya in the late 40s is as maddening as getting downed, and then seeing him stop fi ghting, and come trapsing back to your dying ass… just to fill your shields.
