I can’t tell, I need a few more gear but as is I can Tank like a motha with him. His ability just isn’t so special outside of the health buffs I get from it, and the taunt in the future.
I personally don’t have any problems with Salvador. I invested in the brawn tree so in a coop game all my friends go down 3 times each or more before I finally bite it. When all my health regen effects are stacked I’m sure I easily have about 15% regen + all my damage reducers on top of my 9k health. Salvador can literally be made of HP. Also dual wielding rocket launchers and elemental weapons never hurt either.
I started Salvador today and looked at his tree… This guy is a fucking tank and I cant wait to really level him up. Starting out on Brawn tree seems ideal for him at first but then I feel his Rampage tree is too much. I’m bad at calculations but from what I’m reading he could possibly continually go into Gunzerk mode and just be an absolute beast. Also noting when you are doing Gunzerk try to get guns that have huge magazine capacities or can reload extremely fast. I like him way more than I like Maya and almost as much as I like Lilith. Personally feel him and the Commando are the best characters just from reading all the tree’s. I don’t know yet though. Gotta play more though!!!

Used my second key today on my second playthrough of the game. I’m a level 35, so I was hoping to get something really good. Turns out I only get two purple class mods, both of which are only slightly better than ones I already had. Oh, but it gets better.
I hop back on my Xbox later to find that neither of these items are in my inventory. Vanished. Gone. But hey, I don’t have a key anymore! Woo-fucking-hoo! >:(

That’s odd. I’m 3 levels below you and I haven’t really had that much trouble progressing.
Maybe it’s just my Phaselock that breaks everything. 
The game is being an asshole and giving things like the charging psychos freaking ARMOR and the giant badass ones have shields -_-
Missed Maya’s ECHO logs my first time through the Preserve and just heard them while running a friend through the quest. I thought she was a heartless bitch after hearing her idle line about shooting the monk in the head, but the logs completely flipped that around as the victim of a fanatic cult.
It’s times like this where slag comes in handy.
Only seen Slag Sniper Rifles so far, nothing else.
Only ECHO character logs I’ve found are some of Maya’s in the Preserve and some of Axton’s in Lynchwood so far.
I have a Slag pistol and SMG on me currently, also my grenades slag people.
I’ve found every characters ECHOS sans Salvador.
I don’t really count grenades usually, it has a more random effect in that the enemies often move away as soon as I hit the button.
Wonder where Salvador’s echos are, should be entertaining.
I found two of Salvador’s echos in the map where the Slab King is (forgot the name).
I’m using singularity slag nades. Works wonders for, well, slagging. I have Convergence, too, so I can throw a nade, slag them, then Phaselock to keep everyone in a neat clump for long enough to kill all or most of them.
All I know about Salvador is that he was born on Pandora and is stunted due to steroid abuse. Don’t know where his logs are. Where are Zero’s ECHOs?
From the Wiki I read he was rumored to be crossbred with a Rhino. I assumed getting those logs was a secret Achievement or something.
I come across Slag weapons all the time. I have 2 Slag Pistols, an SMG, and two Snipers as well as some grenade mods. I don’t ever really use them though.
I find jack and shit when I play, just a bunch of green worthless weapons and the elementals I find outside of a few usually suck. Although my weapon kit right now is pretty good. Only found two Orange weapons and I’m at level 28, one was a random enemy drop and the other I got out of the Slots.
My turret slags enemies for me, so I don’t have to bother with it : )
I can loan you some from my Siren AYO. Majority of the crap I’ve found in Liar’s Berg in TVHM has made my stuff from Play through 1 semi-useless.
