God these rent a servers were such a bad idea lol.
The servers were acting REALLY wonky yesterday, either that or NOBODY was playing on my favorites.
G53 is pretty sweet. Equipping just the Heavy Barrel alone makes your ADS spread really small and accurate. Using the grip makes your ADS spread bigger and less accurate which you won’t notice if you’re in CQC alot but really fucks you up at mid-range.
EDIT: Close Quarters comes out June 11th! That means the 4th for all your PS3 folk.
Yeh I stopped using the grip on most guns ( just leave it on FAMAS and F2000, things with crazy RoF and recoil like that). I used flash suppressor as it reduces muzzle climb and then I slap a bipod on even though the bipod never deploys anywhere just because I at least have the option then instead of having nothing there. Some guns like the G3 I use HB and also engy guns I give HB as they’re quite controllable anyway and it helps just extend their accuracy over range a little bit.
I picked up GR:FS this weekend because some people were saying they now prefer it over BF3. They’re stupids. Its much smoother and better balanced than the beta but its feels like Gears of Duty rather than a Ghost Recon game. Its all about the spectacle and the spraying of bullets and its dropped a lot of the depth. I’ve actually been enjoying the single player quite a bit. The MP is seems quite campy except if you detect somebody then you see a full form red outline of their body behind the wall which obviously gives you all the time in the world to line up your headshot for the instant kill. The co op mode is GoW horde mode and they seem to have completely dropped the old co op war with 16 players hunting out the AI, you have to hold a position for 50 waves of varying enemies. GR has good SP with solid co op functionality but it is so insanely dumbed down and with sluggish and dated MP and horde modes it gets dragged down from being a great game to just decent. I played the Spec Ops demo and where GR is Gears of DUTY, Spec Ops was almost Gears Of Battlefield in comparison so I’m quite looking forward to how Spec Ops turns out. GR I will drop when the BF3 dlc comes.
While I’m talking about games I’ve played this week in my adventures away from BF3, theres an awesome XBL indie game called Chompy Chomp Chomp by a fledgling company called “Utopian World of Sandwiches” that I picked up for 80 MS points. Its probably the most fun and laughs I’ve had with my friends on a game in a while, its easy to pick up but has some real depth to it too. Definitely worth getting a few friends together to play it. One of my friends even started doing some really hype e sports commentary over it too. Its a great game which is fun and visually beats most other indie games to a pulp so type it in on the marketplace and give it a play.
Grip+Heavy Barrel is still a good combination on certain guns.
Diablo III has stopped all other games from being played.
Chompy Chomp Chomp has stopped all Diablo III being played, well not quite, its a really fun break from D3 when you need to just have some laughs. It gets frantically hype.

I stopped trying to use the AEK-971as my QCB Assault Rifle. I just use the M16A3 with a Heavy Barrel or a Flash Suppressor. Like the ONLY two AR’s I use now are the M16A3 and the AN-94. Same with the Carbines I use(M4A1, QBZ-95B.) If I wanna roll shotgun medic I just use the MK3A1 and just hip-fire people to death.
EDIT: That video is lolz. I had more success with the AEK-971 using grip+Suppressor. It’s a CQB gun not a mid-range gun!

Hopefully the knife is one that actually works and doesn’t just slash at their back making them turn around and shoot you while you’re stuck with your knife out.
The one gripe I have about the game. As much as I despise the MW series, I do like the knife mechanics in comparison.
I guess another thing to note is sometimes using knives, on a failed attempt – sometimes it’ll automatically switch to my primary or the knife stays out rendering me defenseless for x amount of vital seconds. Otherwise, the game is pretty decent.
On another note, what are some of the glitches like? I haven’t heard anything more than that they are present but havent seen anything outside of the invisible floor glitch in the Beta.
I got the game maybe three weeks ago and am fairly convinced that the game is rather polished but I’m fairly new.
Glitches if any are few and far between as pretty much ALL of the silly things from the Beta have been ironed out.
You must not run around with a shotgun often. It’s annoying pulling the trigger only to get a hitmarker as the person you are shooting just lunges at you.
So it is as cohesive as I thought. Honestly I was weary purchasing the game. Graphically it (PS3 version) satisfies my needs and prompts me to one day run PC version on Ultra. Larger maps and vehicles was dope but meant nothing if the game was plagued with bullshit glitches left and right. I’m at newbie 26 right now and I haven’t played too much. Now this means I can dive right in and see what this game has to offer.
