do the guns not sponge as much anymore? i hope so i played a reasonable amount and some time i feel like im dumping round after round in um.even on hardcore.Me and a homie DL the patchs now

It really depends what gun you use. I think the Magnum really is the go to pistol now, its got great range and power with a faster reload and what seems like a slightly faster RoF than it used to (still slow but better than it was) so when you shoot people with that then it doesnt feel quite as spongy and there are primary weapons which also dont feel too weak. So far Ive not seen lots of one type of gun like we did with the FAMAS and USAS pre patch so it does seem more balanced, Im yet to try all of the guns since the patch though so its hard to say which ones, if any stand out way above any other. The way theyve balanced it, firing in short controlled bursts is key to downing someone fast. Just unloading a clip does make it inaccurate so it can seem spongy but only half the bullets are close to hitting really but there are times unloading is useful and can save your life as you may do it just to suppress while you move to cover.

ALL the Assault Rifles got a damage buff over distances. Heavy Barrel is the shit but not for every weapon.

Have been you testing the heavy barrel on AR? which ones you think are the best for the moment?

Oh wait youre right. Someone told me it had a damage buff over the other guns, it was actually an accuracy issue they fixed where it had a lot of muzzle drift for its RoF so it is now more controllable which I guess means higher damage per second on target. I did think a damage buff over the others was weird because I thought it was one thing that was decent with the gun.

I tried using the AN-94 on full auto and it kicks very heavily, burst mode is good though.

Yeah NEVER use the AN-94 on full-auto which is also slower than the 2-roumd burst lol.

AEK-971 got hit with the nerf stick HARD. Though I could just not have the right attachment combo but holy crap the thing drifts up-right like crazy.

Nothing got hit harder than the FAMAS though haha, it kicks up seems to drift as well and its only 26 capacity clip. I think youd be better off with the PDWs for range too. I cant believe I never used the AS Val before, I started tonight and I nearly have the extended mag for it already. Ext Mag is when it gets really insane.

OP Metro is so fun now without Famas whores Frag Rounds and Supports running around with their M249’s with Fore grips spraying like retards.

The AS VAL will be a top tier PDW imo, as goatbot said the ext. mags are godlike for the weapon now although i like the PP2000 for CQ too.

I already was a top-tier PDW pre-patch. I haven’t used it post-patch with extended mags. I got 500+ kills with it than started using other PDW’s.

i think the f-2000 will take its place. gun is pretty amazing

I’ve been killed by that a few times. Mostly people using Foregrip+HB. I tried the AEK-971 with a Grip+Laser Sight and it’s useable but the recoil is still retarded.

Haha I learned not to attack the planes as they’re taking off because its asking for a kick. I kind of agree its a scummy way of getting kills but if DICE aren’t going to make it out of bounds for the planes then of course people will do it.

Fuck that, that kind of stuff took place since the game launched and what’s more Javelin’s+Laser Designation rapes nearly every vehicle in the game and what’s more the stationary AA turret rapes things that get close to your base and annoys them away for awhile(Jet) or flat out destroys them(Helicopter).

For some reason though ECM has been deflecting Javelin and tank lockons. It doesn’t happen all the time but at least 50 pct of the time that happens.

I noticed the same issue this morning. My assumption was the ecm.

Yeh but it does require someone to actually sit in the AA gun then which rarely happens (maybe in the 64 player games but you don’t see it much in 24 player games) which is why I get away with it. The JavFlam combo usually requires 2 engis and a recon to guarantee the quick kill and that’s quite a chunk of the team on consoles especially when the guy will just be back 1 minute later.

I tried using a stinger the other day, seems pointless. Its too short range, under the radar is quite high so stingers don’t lock there either and on planes there is not much time to get a lock on. Also they seem to have made mavs count as “Under the radar” so stingers don’t even lock on those now even when they’re too high to shoot at which makes them next to invincible, theyre not killing but the almost permanent radar is killing TDM. From when I was flying the other day it seemed that the best AA against me was a kick and its happening quite a lot to some of the dedicated pilots I know too. DICE are having a lot of trouble getting the AA game right in BF3 but when they do fix it then the kicking should happen much less…

Battlefield’s gun mechanics are so damned overly complex unlike CoD’s(What I’m used to) I’m still getting used to the attachment char thingy’s over on battlelog. Things like “First Shot Recoil” and “Spread” and “While Moving/Prone/Standing” still confuse the crap out of me =/

Type 88 LMG definitely was buffed. It’s not garbage like it was before…

ok well thanks to my Nephew, I got a copy, as muc has I hate to pay for these stupid online passes (Fuck you EA) I didn’t pay a dime for the game itself so I guess that’s not bad…

anyways, I’ll go between this and CoD.
