It always felt like a CQC weapon anyway, even before any changes, the recoil on it is horrible and it’s incredibly inaccurate at range.

Utter waste of fucking space. People are complaining that they’ll take the aircraft to camp now, does nobody remember that’s what they did before the MAV exploit go so popular? The MAV isn’t the problem, these useless wastes of skin in the game are.

No he wasn’t on one of the skyscrapers on BTK or Sarqui Peninsula. That guy was just being stupid.
EDIT: Frag rounds are becoming the Noob-Tubes of BF3. I’ve been killed by every shotgun not named the 870MCS with frag rounds, it’s becoming silly now.
I don’t know, when half your team decide to go Recon, it’s pretty detrimental to capping objectives in conquest.

The USAS w/ frag been a staple of PC play for a long time. You can’t have 64 player metro without at least 32 players using a USAS! Not going to lie, I got 500 kills with it until the novelty wore off (and got the mastery tag). I know a lot of people on PC end up resorting to using it after they’re frustrated with explosive spam on certain maps.
That reminds me, you’ll have to forgive my naiveté, but console only get 24 players max on a map? (I’m a PC hound, I haven’t owned a console since the PS1!).
I see the L96 has become the popular choice too since the no scope glint glitch is attached to it, until the patch, snipers have a certain degree of impunity.
If the Frag Round nerf is done right, it is going to make alot of noobs mad. And yes console is 12 v 12.
It’s just too strong as it is, having stackable damage from both the shot and the explosive splash is a little bit too much, the fact that if done right, you can wipe out quite a lot of players in one salvo, especially in a 64 Metro where the corridor and stairways are just crammed as hell.
You guys must actually have close to a normal game on Metro then! Fuck it’s carnage on a 64 player server.

Metro is a cluster fuck, it pretty much becomes everyone fighting at the stairs at B until one ground gets control. Then it is a fight to get out of your spawn to try to get to their spawn to take that flag. Generally on console if you are getting spawn pushed you do not go for B if you get past them. You go for their spawn flag and work backwards. It makes them either run back or respawn at their base to try to get to you eliminating them from your base.
The first part of what you said is the same for PC too, but 90% of metro games end in a stalemate fighting over B. Sometimes though, you’ll be able to sneak around either onto the Platform if you’re RU or to the Cafe if you’re US so you that you can basically surround the enemy from both sides and steal the ticket office and either spawn lock the other team or for the duration, the game takes place on either Platform or Cafe.
Being spawn locked seems a lot easier to break on the US side, most players filter down that central corridor, and if it wasn’t for half the US team deciding it was necessary to sit in spawn and turn Recon, it’s not a very difficult push back up the corridor before the platform, it just takes teamwork and people willing to expend a few lives on the push. RU seem to have it worse, there’s very few places you can spawn in your own base that isn’t sniper bait once the US team have captured the cafe.
Most people try to play Battlefield like it is COD, just being honest. It does not work in Battlefield at all. I even do it himself at times, I fall back into my COD habits get killed 5 or 6 times then go back to playing smart.
I forgot how much of a beast the F2000 was in this game. Fast ROF and no crazy muzzle-drift like the AEK-971. I’ve been trying “new” weapons in preparation for the TBA patch. Right now I’m liking:

The problem with frag rounds is that you can practicaly be a sniper with shotguns, in seine crossing you can see a lot of people from the buildings killing other players from huge distances, metro is one of my favorite maps on consoles it works very well with 24 people.
Right now i’m liking the M4A1 as engineer, is a really nice carabine with good damage and ROF, the FAMAS is a beast but the fire ratio is also a disadvantage in certain situations and the reloading time is huge that’s why i play with the AKS-74U now.
Yeah is huge problem, people often likes to rush instead of waiting for some recon data, you can see this more on deathmatch modes, people don’t know how to flank the enemy and take advantage of the environment, that’s the magic of battlefield, you can surprise the enemy from any position.
