I have no idea tbh I JUST started taking this game seriously and caring about this stuff. I completely agree with you and I can’t shake the feeling that they are caving to jerks who just wanna rack up easy air kills.

The main reasons I left MW for this was to have a more strategic shooter without having to Always deal with some bum who sucks getting barely earned kills. I feel they are giving up some of what makes the Bf series great imo and that makes me sad.

Wow really? That is just not good to me especially since so many bought it there are bound to be many who are vocal but have no idea what there are talking about asking for dumb shit without fully understanding the metagame of it all.

Example: I’ve been playing twisted metal for years and there were some idiots who were playing the new demo saying reaper was op because he’s so fast and his special did so much damage but with the game fully out and all the cars you rarely see reapers because they get killed so easily. If esp had nerfed him before hand he would be useless but now he can still be used by people with smart strategy and a hit and run style.

The point is 99% of the time it’s best to wait for the game and community settle in before nerfs and buffs. I hoped dice knew that because heard such great things about them but my faith is damaged and I hope this game stay the more tactical shooter i’ve been having fun with since the demo and not shoot the plane before it rapes us.

The Battlefield community is currently full of crybaby whiners screaming for nerfs because this or that is too OP, shit is getting nerfed left right and centre just to pander to them so that money gets spent on the game. Any of the games real problems seem to fall on deaf ears and reading on video game sites how DICE are “hard at work” is absolutely fucking laughable considering it seems to take them 3 months to fix anything, and not even everything that should have been fixed. Spec Ops camo has been bugged for months, the A10 is bugged and you can’t score points in it and have them count for aircraft, and have they don’t seem to care, I would imagine these two examples would be very quick fixes.

Better than “Robert Trolling” anyday though.

I run around with a Type 88 or a Mk11 with a Holographic Sight on Open maps as a Recon and whilst having a spawn beacon and SOFLAM up. So fun.

In other news the An-94 is still ass…maybe cause we still have yet to receive the mini-patch that made it worth using.

Any tips to play the recon class properly? i’m more an assault and assist player, trying to learn recon now, as far as i know the main objective is to recognize any enemy movement for my team advantadge and gain some points in that way and completing objectives instead of killing.

Also what’s the best support weapon? i’m using the PKP- Pecheneg with great results.

Yeah, either throw away your sniper rifle and go with a PDW or put an acog on your semi-auto sniper and go for agressive recon. Move around the map with your squad, use your kit when necessary and keep capping objectives and being of use for your team - sitting a mile away looking through a scope or getting the ocassional MAV kill is NOT conducive to teamwork!

A lot of people swear by the M249, but I’m quite liking the MG36 at the moment.

M249 IS gdlk that’s why. Mg36 is okay too I guess but why not go with the proven commodity? Lately when I’m on a so and so team I just throw a bunch of c4 on our mcom if there are no tanks around then as soon as they arm it boom easy kill. I don’t think there are any guns that are useless in this game tho.

Also why is it that whenever a recon player on my team actually uses a spawn placement thing it’s always in some nonsensical place? Like in the air where you have to parachute down miles away from where the battle is, why not place somewhere safe or useful like around the a mcom we have to attack or defend? Or how about somewhere you know the enemy is gonna try to flank us at? I know it got nerfed or something but cmon…

Mmmm nerfing the M249 time to use the PKP, also the foregrip and suppresor changes are indirectly nerfs for some weapons (cough FAMAS)…

It seems DICE is just nerfing random recoil aspects and first-shot recoils across the board. I guess you won’t be the full-auto somebody form a distance with the AEK-971or whatever. Not to sure on that Battlefield’s weapon mechanics are WAY more complicated than say Call Of Duty’s.

Wow, USAS nerfed with the frag rounds included, buckshot will be the primary ammo now but the spread was also nerfed (30% i think) it will be interesting to see how people will deal with the shotguns now, the M4 will be a long range carabine now imo.

I want to test the FAMAS with the new suppresor changes: foregrip + suppresor = Laser beam :slight_smile:

I played for a minute today. I went into a server named “learn to fly” or some shit. Of course when I got in there I think I was the only person that didnt actually know how to fly very well. I never got to far away from where I took off before some dude shot me down. It was made even harder because my controller wouldnt work for some reason so I had to use the mouse and keyboard to fly.
