I can only shake my head and roll my eyes when I read that Gustav Halling thinks that Engineers will be
using Javelins in this mode in conjunction with Recon/SOFLAM. Yeah, the thought of SOFLAMs everywhere
is nice, but that shit is so not what happens in a high-skilled server. Not only that you can only max out a 4
Javelins, when myself and most other high ranked/skilled players would never limit themselves to that bullshit
when I can carry 9 frikking RPGs.

Plus, smoke negates all of the crap lock-ons. -_- Gustav, you are a frikking N-E-W-B.

I’m interested in that new map though. Looks like a cross between Heavy Metal, Caspian Border, and something else.

Practice without it so you can use things that are more useful. I may still roll with Cannister shell to kill the stray engineers around. Reactive, Cannister, Smoke will be pretty standard. I would use guided but clearly everyone will run smoke so there isn’t much point, I’d rather pick off the engys.

Tank Superiority is basically going to be a bunch of Tanks/LAVs/Tank Destroyers fighting over ONE flag.

Defib kills are the funniest shit ever.

I know how this mode will end up working when the mob-mentality (and due to human leanings towards
efficiency) takes over too. 1 flag? Psh, no one is going to give a shit. It will be over in tickets. Period. I swear
these designers can’t think past 10 minutes on ideas…

Well, a minority will give a shit, but I don’t don’t see any severe effects unless Gustav is hiding a sickening
ticket-bleed with it?

Yeh, it is a bit weird that everyone has been asking for Air Superiority and they gave us Tank superiority instead when it takes a lot more to remain fighting in the burn in a plane. But I don’t think it will be as hard as you may think to get in there against efficient teams. It will probably have a very very large burn area and any team who has the flag will probably struggle to hold it too because it won’t just be 2 tanks to fight off, it will probably be more like 8. The only thing that concerns me about efficiency is if being sat in a burn area with no cover like it looked on the trailer that you will probably get instakilled with 3 tanks and 2 engys looking at you if your team mates can’t support you which 90% of the time is the case as I end up doing all the work.

Finally got the hang of “tap-firing” the G3A3 after using the SCAR-H with a Heavy-Barrel. Now I prefer the SCAR to the ACR on more open/BIG maps cause of the LONG 4SK. I’m going to have to use that over-powered M4 again on close/medium-range maps.

That write-up on Aftermath is so far off base I can only wonder how/why/where the hell they got that from.
DICE has already given a brief description of Aftermath and it has (so far) nothing to do with any of that. The modes
are a possibility, but I doubt it. I do like the idea of a new faction. The Russia VS USA all the time is retarded.

Aftermath is about the Earthquake that happend in the campaign. Each of the 4 new maps are taking place entirely in
Tehran and will be more CQC type maps (but not as small as the CQ DLC) like Sienne, Bazaar, ect. The whole theme
is the crumbling area due to the quake and fights will take place all over areas as such.

Aftermath is teased at the end. AK comes out Sept 4th for PS3 premium members.

I’m not too excited by AK. The maps will be far too big for console and DICE consistently fail to provide cq/rush/tdm layouts for different sections of maps. TDM would be much more varied if they used 2 or 3 different areas of each map but DICE so far have failed to deliver anything like that to consoles even though PC gets map variants. I’m expecting 4 decent areas for TDM and then to wonder round a map for 30 mins in CQ without seeing anyone and just thinking “Why isn’t this area a TDM/DOM section”

Ever since BFBC, I fail to understand people when they say that—because if you’re PTFOing, the player count,
regardless of map size—is never an issue. Yes DICE has become worse at map design with their younger
dev team…but it’s still playable on console.

I mean seriously—I’m used to playing 4V4 on a daily basis with the original MGO/PS2…and with the vehicles, running
into the opposition is frequent, even in BF3’s big maps we have now. PTFOing brings you right to them. (most of them)

LOL Symthic people are so retarded. According to that place:

-The M16 is OP
-The AEK-971 is the next “OP” gun cause it’s TTK and recoil is too easy.
-The AN-94 is good cause of it’s “possibilities”
-The M4A1 makes all other carbines useless

Even when you PTFO it takes too long to travel to the objectives and there is next to no people in the map because they are in planes or choppers. On console you lose half your team to air vehicles that leaves just a few people to fight in a map like Caspian Border or Gulf of Oman. I have actually gotten MVP with 0 kills on these maps before just by capping flags. Imagine what it will be like on the largest BF map ever. It would be better if they moved the spawns a bit closer to the combat area for consoles or had map variants but we don’t even get that.

False and false. It doesn’t take time at all. Use the vehicles. They respawn plenty fast. And/or spawn at a flag.
Whether or not people are in vehicles/planes/choppers is irrelevant. Especially when the two main modes
are objective based. Meaning, fragging the enemy is actually a secondary objective, not tantamount
to winning. (as you’ve mentioned having rounds with MVP and 0 kills.)

It will be exactly the same as it is now. Plus an extra 500-1000 meters. The action is where the flags/MCOMs are.
Obviously. If you’re PTFOing, you will run into the enemy. Stop pretending otherwise.
