Women’s tennis is ok, it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be a lil over 10 years ago, imo. It’s not about there being no clear #1, because I think the Williams Sisters are the dominate ones but just don’t rank high because they don’t sit there and grind out every single competition that comes up.
Just watch for eye candy and unpredictable results.

I can understand that, but women’s tennis is probably the only female sport worth watching so it sucks it has become stale.
im pretty sure ivanovic won the french open last year which helped put her in no.1 for a little stint. i only watch womens tennis for ivanovic and prolly sharapova. thats pretty much it though.
I watch it for Vanus, Serena, Maria Sharapova, and finally, Dementieva’s legs.

Is it really a lack of consistency or are we used to utterly dominant champions in women’s tennis? The 80s had Navratilova with ~20 GS titles, the 90s had Graf with ~22 GS titles and the only person ever to do a Golden Slam.
Ana is a bade untill i found out she was freaking 6ft lol, a beautiful women is still a beautiful women but height like that is just very unappealing in a women IMO.

actually i just found that out the other day as well. i guess she doesnt look that tall when shes playing. still one of the hotter female tennis players.
My gripe for women’s tennis is that they play a totally different game. You see more of a lack of net play and net skills. The forehands are less varied. You see flatter balls really. The backhands are usually their better shot and mostly all 2 handed.
As a player myself, I enjoy watching the men’s game more. I feel it’s more developed and varied.
Womens tennis rankings are pretty shitty. They used to have this same system in PDC darts where if you went to every exhibition and did well you would be world no.1. Colin Lloyd did this and was no.1 but never did well in any of the major tournaments. Phil Taylor would win them all but would still be no.2. Of course this is ridiculous so they changed the system to an Order of Merit system where the ones who earn the most money from tournament prize money are ranked accordingly thorughout the year. This is what should happen in womens tennis. How Serena is not no.1 winning 3 grand slams is beyond stupid. Loved her interview after she won though.
