well funny you mention the injury thing…cause nadal was fucking taped up in french open. he had some like dbz esque taping cuz once he took it off he fucking beasted. but that foot was so taped i was amazed it fit into his shoe.

I didn’t play back then, but what was funny at my high school was that the girl’s tennis team was pretty much all Asian girls who flock to that sport and one year when a black girl joined the team, she was pretty much the Serena Williams of the team and dominated lol.

Tsonga destroyed Nadal at the Australian open, and Monfis was doing real good against Federer at the french, its only a matter of time before all of these players are healthy and ready to ascend

Did you see how well jokovic played at the end of last year especially his EPIC match against roddick (which was one of the greatest matches of all time just winner after winner.)
Jokovic has the potential to be just as good if not better then nadal but as of right now nadal and especially federer don’t have to sweat him going into wimbledon. Jokovic is not a mentally tough player, if he’s down a set/break he just can’t get back into the swing of it (pun intended) he often gets visibly frustrated but if he works on that he could someday soon be #2 which would be awesome cause he’s my favorite player.
Sure it might not be easy but we all know federer is taking wimbledon. Nadal won in the french because it was on clay sure the margin on straight sets was higher then people expected but no one thought we was going to lose that’s a given. On grass I’m predicting federer will rock nadal.
Look like yall are under estimating how much of a clutch player he really is. Unlike most other pros male or female federer can shake off being down a set/break and come back stronger then before to rape his opponent. He’s definitely one of the most mentally tough players.
So do you guys think Tsonga is for real or that it was just a fluke thing? He looked awesome during the Australian but he might have just been riding emotion.

I want Ana Ivanovic so bad for some reason.
A friend and coworker of mine scored a pair tickets to the Western & Southern Masters tournament a couple years ago for cheap, and I went on… a Thursday, I believe. Supposedly, it was good for the ‘morning session’, but we made a day of it and had a blast.
I’m considering going again somewhat early in the tournament, and am wondering if any of the Cincy crew (if you follow tennis at all) would be interested in getting a small group together. Naturally, we’d each purchase our own ticket, but maybe do a shared ride up and back.
All I can say, if you go, is bring sunscreen, a Sharpie-type marker, and a decently-sized bag. There tends to be balls going all over the place on the practice courts, and at times… not exactly all of them make it back, if you get my drift…

Jury still out on Tsonga in my opinion, he is injured to often to know what his full potential is,
I don’t even see his name on the Wimbledon bracket, he did look good at the french against Nadal, I don’t think that was a fluke, he had a gameplan going into the match with Nadal

Tennis is pretty random for me. There are some matches that I watch and love and keep watching it. Then there are matches that I just have no interest in and are boring as hell.

good looking out on the tennis channel, I didn’t even realize it existed. after watching that channel for a while, the whole culture of tennis seems a bit stuffy and pretentious. They should focus alot more on the actual sport, rather than the tradition/interviews in castles/crumpets. I wanna see Federer rape Nadal this Wimbledon:rock:
