Who works well with Hayato? My Hayato stands out from the rest of my characters and I want to know who can I use to help him? I dont like god tiers but I will learn if I have too.

Well for one, you need a really good, I mean REALLY good projectile assist to cover his rushdown. So the list of good assist follows:

Sentinel y
Storm a
BB Hood a
Gambit a
Tron y (probably his best assist)
Doom b (really good trap with this assist)
Thanos a
Sabretooth b (TRUST ME. Dereklearnslow has a damn good Hayato and this is his main assist)
Blackheart b

I also like a solid AAA:

Psylocke a
Capcom b
Sonson y
Jin a
Cable b

Thats all I can think of

Hayato plus psi is very good… they have a tricky reset together… using hayato launch em… do sj.lp, sj.lk, sj.mp, sj.mk, sj. fp (hold fwd the whole time you are doing this)… last hit knocks em down and away… they get flying screen and unrollable KD… you land at their feet just before they stand… call psi and a nano-second later input hayato’s back, fwd + pp cmd grab… which you can combo a relaunch out of… so it’s a loop… hard to counter… easiest way is for them to start mashing throw… as it will beat your cmd grab if their is timing right… but if it’s forced them to mash throw in those situations… you are already getting somewhere…

Hayato plus any proj assist or similar assists (i like thanos capture) you can make use of hayato’s unique dashing fierce. just call your proj assist, dash fwd and hit fp… you’ll cross through them while doing 1 strike… and even if they block that strike you’ll crossup and they’ll have to block the projectile as cross up… which if they don’t it bounces em strait at you for a launch or super or wtver… …slower the proj or longer it hangs around… the better. Sabertooth pretty solid for this also as mentioned above…

Basically all my hayato teams use these 2 concepts and I just input a whole slew of different AAA or proj assists as teammates depending on what I feel like.

Oh forgot to mention… w/hayato as an assist… anyone with a fast airdash and quick launcher can make good use of his dash assist… just air dash over their head awhile calling hayato and if he hits from behind your point will get a free launcher or combo or wtver b/c his assist ends in a solid knockback (strait into your chest.)

CapAm/SS/Zangief. Thats it. HELP!!!

hehe yea I took a small break as I waited to see if mvc3 was gonna be able to replace mvc2… and no suprise it’s not going to… so its back to low tier work…

wow that team will be tricky…

cap should be last first off… since he’s the only one with any kind of AAA… and his isn’t bad.

gief’s ground assist is pretty sweet for silver samurai… any time it hits… go strait into lighting super for huge dmg. samurai lacks great assists so he should probably start on point.

when gief is on point you can use samurai’s ground assist to put pressure on them during those long periods where gief’s slow ass isn’t keeping block string on em… ak short blockstring, call samurai, then either use fwd moving lariat or giefs command air grab or his stinkfist to make up the distance while ss is still chopping…

try this combo for one that should connect as a combo… but has great mixup potential even if you mess it up or something goes wrong…

wtver ground combo. into… call gief + launch… immediate sj.hk… hold fwd a bit while you do this… you’ll fall on the other side of them as they are bounced off gief’s fist… when you land you can do lighting super. this should work on most characters and with most timings… but in cases where it misses you still crossed up and pinned… not bad. you can also try to get a relaunch out of it instead of lighting super.

you can jump over em while calling gief… land on other side and if gief connects… engage fire tuki… launch em off giefs assist into an aircombo that will hit like sent due to fire tuki. this wll probably end with 10 to 15 less dmg than lighting super… but you’ll still have fire active so it can be worth it sometimes… timing here might be strict but it should work.

ss solo:

fire tuki actived and then do ninja star super… does like 40 friggen dmg BLOCKED!! ss with 4+ bars can turn on tuki… pin and just do stars repeatedly… kills though sheer chippage…

What do you think about team I recenty asked about? I mean Cable (projectile)/Doom AAA/Commando AAA?

@ siemien-It’s a beastly team but your Cable and Doom have to be very strong as the team lacks a lot of speed. Also with Cable on point if I was playing you I would gun for taking care of either Doom or CapCom due to the fact then the guess work would be gone out of what assist would be coming next. Your Cable would then be much easier for me to get in on after that point.

That said it is a pretty nice team.

Thx. I’m a new player although I wanted to create own team. Not based on the top configurations like Magneto/Storm/Sentinel. Ok, so what is your idea to change with types and with a characters to improve speed of my team? I really want to have Cable and Doom. Maybe I could add some fast character as my last guy?

LOL that team is not exactly low tier and it is a pretty damn good team even if the characters are a bit slow. I trained a few people new to the game a few months back and my best advice to start out is to play the same team versus every team quickly you will then see what your teams weaknesses and strengths are. After you see what every character can do against your team you have the knowledge of how to replicate it against them.

The age old rule of marvel get your ass kicked in order to kick ass.

It does not include doom but my fav team is Mag/Cable/Tron and my best team is Hulk/Ironman/Doom. The latter team just works for me for some reason even though it is not a great team on paper.

But again screw what I say give your team a shot. If you play it right you will frustrate THE SHIT out of someone. Off the top of my head an easy thing to do with your team is this. D HK with Cable while simultaneously calling dooms assist (this will hold them in place for two seconds allowing you to super them). Then if you have the meters you can AHVB them 3 times. Shit you got me wanting to try this team now lol It would be an excellent runaway team.

Check out vids of illan and killa kelly… both play cable/doom like a mofo…

Honestly its a solid team… just protect those assists… and be ready to occasionaly get rocked by rushdown… cable can have a hard time keeping magnus or storm off him if u let yer assists get baited.

Any other CapAm teams? I’ve been thinking about M. Bison/CapAm/Doom, and I don’t know how to work it. I suppose I can do some major trapping with this team.

Cap+Bison is actually pretty decent… start up a block string with cap while calling bison variety assist… end your block string and do caps flip where he pass fwd through them (forget what its called)… this will make them cross-up block bison’s psycho field… nice thing is even if they do block the field it sticks around and bison has left awhile ago… you can pin with a new block string and recall the assist…

you see where that’s going… chip tastic lockdown. Normally they get frustrated and will get hit by the field eventually… giving cap a free launcher… you can also use doom for this… so it would be a good concept for that team.

low tier strider doom style… just watch it against invincible startup AAA…

Bison can do flying assist punish and keep calling cap’s AAA to stuff their point while you do it… i use ken… but cap should work. Just launch an assist while you got space… sj.lp, sj.lk, sj.mp xx fly, [flying lk]xN… keep repeating N and since your flying you can keep calling AAA to stuff their point from stopping you. bonus is that if at any time your AAA misses and their point is nearing you… just cancel to psycho crusher to deal another 50% to the assist on top of wtver you did already and escape at the same time. (note: canceling to pyscho crusher requires either doing scissors xx crusher OR if you have unfly just cancel flight xx crusher should in theory work ( wow did I just think of a use for bison unfly? )

obviously don’t do this vs certain shit… cough hail… captain sword… bh inferno ect

Jump back grenade while calling doom rocks? 90% of the cast cannot do a thing about this unless they trick you into fucking up… so don’t fuck up… keep doing it til a good moment to super… then super. That’s about all that is required out of this duo to win.

Hmm. I tried playing with my team and I now know that CapCom doesn’t fit me :slight_smile: Maybe I could change him with let’s say War Machine or IM? Juggernaut perhaps?

Capcom is a beast! Idk how people don’t like him lol. ok, Cable b/IM b/Doom b is team Illan (I think that is how it is spelled). this team was played by Illan (clearly). He had a beast ass IM. This is an IM team that utilizes the meter built by IM by his rushdown and infinites. When IM dies, you have Cable with a shit load of meters to do AHVB like forever. Partnered with doom, its really hard to catch cable or hit him for that matter. Doom really benefits from IM’s assist. i’ll put it down in a while.

I’ve been messing around with Spiral-Y/BBHood-A/OR-AA assist. The THC has sick damage but the team doesnt really seem to flow very well. Does anyone have any ideas for a switch with OR?

Spiral/BBHood/Hulk is team Vidkill. It is like a low-tier team Duc. The THC that they have should kill anything. You can also do Jugg b/BBHood a/Spiral y. Glitch Jugg out to Spiral, and start trapping with Spiral/BBHood. You should have all the meter you need to THC into death.
