Yeah I’ve noticed when I am trying to cancel DHCs the frames break a little bit which makes it way harder (and faster) to do. So you guys recommend Turbo 1 for practice speed?

I’ve seen someone kick ass with Cable/Sent/Cammy and Storm/Sent/Cammy few times before. Almost every character with a good AAA fit with Storm/Sent or Cable/Sent.

I wanted to know what the best teams that include Dr. Doom are. His AAA is arguably one of the best assists in the game, yet, you don’t see him much in “winning teams.”

I know of Storm/Sent/Doom, but that’s about it. Blackheart/Sent/Doom is another team I’ve seen, but Blackheart teams aren’t consistant, imo. That may offend BHK, but I feel it’s true. o;

Although it’s really a Strider focused team. Sent/Strider/Doom is great, Clockw0rk is like a Duc that does all that chip in a tenth the time at the cost of gauge.

Clock is as inconsistant as Watts AND Duc though…

And that chip is crazy.

If either Doom or Strider gets smacked before gauge is available and Strider is out it can be a major issue, so if someone like MSP snaps doom in right at the start it can be a hard battle, Sent is the best Stand alone character there and Strider can die really fast if he’s not protected.

At least that’s what I glean from my reading, watching and talking thus far.

You could make the same argument for most teams…

psy or mando getting snapped in/killed off early is bad news for most top teams.

hell even cable getting snapped in before he has meter built can be trouble.

Yes, that is true. However, it doesn’t affect teams like Santhrax, MSS or Matrix as nearly as much as it affects Clock, Duc or Watts. Sentinel can hold his own, but that’s about it.

Is Sentinel/Doom/Venom better or worse than Venom/Doom/Tron? Or is there a Venom team combination I’m missing that’s altogether better?

Illan/KillaKelly’s team of IM/cable/doom is pretty darn effective. There are at least 20 ways to use doom rocks to combo into the rejump inf. Some are very easy… cr.lk, call doom, cr.mk, pause, infinte… being the easiest. IM can also call doom, fp throw, infinte…

then obviously you got cable also…

Old school team julius jackson… but thats not really a “good” team in the classic sense. People who are leet with IM/WM make it work…

Why would I take offense? Blackheart teams are only as consistent as the person playing them.
But then you can say that about any team so I dunno…

To be honest I have never seen a blackheart team in real life before. I bet it’s interesting as hell cuz of that judgment hc.

You know when you see a good BH cuz they won’t just run away. They’ll bait you into calling assists and punish them, or they’ll get you in the corner and you won’t make it out =P
BH’s that just chip are usually easy to get around. So are the ones that just sj.RH all day lol

BH is great but most of his stuff while very good doesn’t bother me nearly as much as getting stuck in a corner and pinned for inferno xx HOD chip damage repeatedly.

I have only run into a few good rush down BH’s… it’s rare. I play hulk so much… and I find out quick if they are good BH’s by shutting down the jumpy demons asap. Good BH’s respond by rushing down… scrubby ones by inferno xx HOD X (how many bars they got?) Sux tho b/c hulk can be prone to getting cornered by that shit.

That shouldn’t work on hulk though. You can pushblock the inferno and shoulder tackle out of it. If they’re close enough the tackle will hit and you combo that into a super for good damage.

Another thing that lets you know that you’re playing against a good BH is when they use the RH demons to guardbreak your characters.

Wouldn’t the HOD hit mid charge? gamma charge is really fast… so it might beat the startup… but I dunno.

nope. You know about pushblocking the inferno and nj.f out of the hod right? hulk has problems doing this because of his big body, so he’ll sometimes get picked off by one of the rising demons. even if he manages to jump out, there isn’t much he can do upon landing. his charge however is so fast that it’ll clear the space where he would have gotten hit trying to jump out, all the while hitting BH out of his super

I know about the pushblock and nj.fwd… but I’d never tried the gamma charge there. Guess I’d always feared those demons… thnx bhk…
