The Official 3rd Strike Match Vids Thread

In the Sydney RanBat there’s something special there for all Makoto users/fans at: 28:12 - 28:25… TSC you’re my hero…

how the hell did that 3rd fukiage? (not sure on name) hit? Then he gave the game away…nerves i guess. Sick still.

For the 2nd fukiage to connect you have to kara the 1st fukiage with HK, I prefer to kara HK with LP fukiage but most people generally use MP with HK. This is done by doing the fukiage motion, returning the stick to neutral then in-putting HK just before you input MP/LP. (I am really shocking at describing these type of things) You then have to ensure that the 2nd dash backwards is timed correctly so that when the character is falling they are in the correct position to be hit with the 2nd fukiage. The 1st part is the easiest, the 2nd part is by far the hardest… for me at least. Anyway, lots of people do this combo and there is a ton of info on this in the Makoto thread. You just generally dont see it in tournaments cause it is to risky but yeah, I am a big risk taker I guess. :wasted:

… and yeah, I should have just done standing HP into SA2 after I stunned him… instead of scrubbing it up and trying to do jumping HK, st.HP into SA2. Oh well, thats nerves for you… apart from that 1 combo my execution was shocking througout that whole tournament.

I don’t see why 100% stun isn’t used in tournamets because if you ever get them in the corner with the karakusa they’re fucked. I can understand SAI’s advantage with its fear factor and damage, but quite frankly SAII and its 4 EX’s is more important for any Makoto player if you ask me. 100% stun’s just like a big bonus of top of it all.

Well as a Makoto player I know when to go for stun and when to go for damage. Doing the SAII stun combo means that you might be losing guarenteed damage from some extra stun. Although I still havent been able to get the orginal 100% yet, I’ve still gotten my fair share of stun combos. Just my 2 cents.

I think they don’t -always- do it is because it’s not the easiest thing to do.

I had some Makoto player try that on me at a tourney, he missed because Q has a weird weight to him, and I ended up taking the round (he eventually peaced me 2-1, though).

So it may be 100% stun but it’s hard to land 100% of the time. My 2 cents.

Speaking of Q. Where is Kuroda? There have been no videos of him in the longest.

The other day I came across a filefront with a bunch of old gvision ranbats but I forgot which thread it was in. Anyone have the link cuz I’d like to rewatch some things.

Reason why some players don’t always use SA2 for the 100% stun: Stay the fuck away from the corners or Makoto’s side of the screen and she can’t land SA2 at all without some mind games or trickery.

TSC i love your mak man but you can’t be missin the basic little 3 hit combos. when you got them stunned like, that take your time and don’t fuck up ><. nice job landing that 100% stun combo in the match, you got some nice execution minus the mess up on the simple stuffs. :stuck_out_tongue:

that crouching jab can get a bit risky if you use it too much since it can be high or low parried, but i definatly can see the uses of it for the block advantage and will incorperate it in my game.

not sure if it’s the same link but still very good! Thanks PBalla and Mr.Hadoken!

I have a bunch of matches from I think a 5 on 5 Japan tourney from this past summer, if anyone’s interested I could put em up.

Uriden > ksk blog (At least its not the “Nuki wins by default against a bunch of chun tourney”)

Have a bunch of vid, the newest one I think is an SBO qualifier 3 vs 3 Check out the ??? vs ???48.4MB? on the page.

Someone gotta tell me wtf was RX thinking with… WAKEUP SHORT TACKLE!!!

I love you.

Edit: I may be wrong but I think the teams in the first one are Roshihikari, Sugiyama (not sure), RX vs Namijin, (dunno the Oro), Eda

Direct link to the match please.

yup

WTF fdajflkdajf and it actually WORKED FTW :looney: :looney: .

Gaijinblaze, I agree with you on identifying the players and I think the oro is Dirty Music.

RX’s corner EX Aegis combo against Eda was sexy.

Quick question.
I’ve been using BitTornado to download torrents for a long time now.

When I attempt to download the GV torrents at KSK’s website, a page full of odd looking characters pops up, and I can’t figure out how to d/l them.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I use BitTornado too, and KSK torrents never save properly in Firefox. Try opening the page in IE instead.
