I just finished watching the tougeki 08 dvd and there are some sick matches all around. Great low and mid tier showings from pierrot, yamazaki, inoue(oro) and dirty(oro). Not too much urien or dudley action I would say, but I think this time around it was all about the akuma players and there’s plenty of that. It was also nice to see the U.S. players play strong, as well as the other foreign teams. Buy the dvd!

yea a lot of good low tier play here plus some good showing by the foreign teams
the ken players in the tournament were rly comin in strong: Kashi, Chinta, and others were playing rly well
as for the strong teams such as Ino Japan, and RX Gundan, lets just say what happened was unexpected…if you dont want to know about them dont read but i just gotta get this off my head after watching this…read at your own risk

Kuroda didnt rly do as well as we all hoped, he only got 1 full OCV which was in the 2nd round i believe and even then it seemed he was struggling, as for the other matches he had…he either lost by not following up or by being too obvious…ino rly held it down the whole tournament for the most part
as for the other powerhouse…their main player RX played like shit the whole time, he didnt get out his unblockables or tackle combos correctly…KO didnt play well either…i would say he got the worst of it but he missed crucial points in his game play to take control of the match and turn it around…and Nuki, forget it, it was so bad i dont even remember how he lost…anyways a team like this basically played as if they were one of the weaker teams in the tournament…it was bad and depressing to watch :sad: [/details]
Speaking of the final waves of the SBO DVDs, what the hell happened to Volume 9? Play-Asia have no sniff of a mention of Hokuto no Ken and they only list 8 volumes for this years batch.
