It’s probably part of the Tougeki/Arcadia magazine’s DVD they put out sometimes. I remember the Babanpaku tourney vids were also from one of those DVD’s from before. Hopefully there were more off of that DVD than just this one.
it’s not that random. Kuroda is known for having mad reflexes. Sure some things were random but… any tatsu or sho on opponent’s dash-in was on reaction, it’s widely known that the guy can punish dashes on reaction. If he could 360 dashes with Hugo he can deffo srk or tatsu since the motion is even faster.
Against Ino he played 99.9% safe for 2 reasons
- Ino was also playing extremely safe, unlike those 3. Ino knows what NOT to do vs Kuroda.
- It’s sooo easy for ken to punish Gouki even without meter.
Another thing that was also in my mind after the Kuroda vs Ino matches but found confirmation here: seeing his results compared to any other gouki results, it makes evident that sparing meter for later to have Demon/KKZ option is not a good gameplan. I seriously doubt he can’t perform kara demons or reset KKZ; it’s more like that in EVERY chance he aims to deal the maximum amount of damage, instead of “sparing” the opponent like many other do to get the meter to use fancy setups later, but also giving the opponent more health to fight for comeback. Hell, this is another aspect of “playing safe”.

^ that reset was already known (check yuki otoko against rikimaru on semis last sbo), what is surprising is his ability to mix it well

This is part of the reason why I think a lot of people don’t rate Jiro particularly high. sa1 makes Akuma an anti air monster, and is probably one of the most hit confirmable supers (although ken sa3 and chun sa2 are in a class of their own). You can deal way more damage with sa1 than demons or kkz, but its nice to have them as options.
well I don’t rate Jiro that high either (though I recognize he’d beat me down, but that’s another matter)
You said it well: it’s nice to have them as an OPTION. Any time a Gouki player starts RELYING on them they just lose some of the character’s potential.
I think that many Gouki players are so much in love with themselves and their fancy demon setups that can’t really see why it’s a quite unsafe and unreliable gameplan to “save meter for demon/kkz”. It’s still very good to know how to use those supers of course, it’s just that gouki should get 2 full meters only if the opponent NEVER opens up for a SA1 opportunity.

ok so a friend told me to dl realplayer to be able to dl flash vids. I already install RP but the thing is it will only let me dl flash vids on new pages, not old ones prior to the installation (it even asked me to close all browser windows before installing or it wouldnt work). So, right now if anyone knows other way id really appreciate it because i wont turn off my pc until i get that damn vid recorded. If there is no “easy” way to dl then i guess id have to record it from a camera, but thats gonna be tomorrow.
EDIT: hmm, there still no warning about THIS video right? i know the old “no sbo, no kuroda vids” crap but im guessin this would be ok, could someone answer this before i get my ass banned?
