I know what are you talking about. It’s way older than 2-3 years, as I said the footage you are referring to dates back to 2000/early 2001
GS. Go Alex.

Hol Horse, yeah it mostly does date back that far, but…
GVision Ranbat
Spoiler
…it has been done a few times recently, in fact I believe Mester did it last year in a Game-Newton tournament.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen roshihikari make an appearance; showing those other yang players how it’s done, good stuff.
Interesting note - it showed that the MC was Xiao, I wonder if he still plays. (I remember his beastly purple ibuki)
hmm those brackets look interesting i might have to watch this one the past like 5 or so ksk ranbats have been pretty boring looking havn’t watched any of them
oh thanks, I missed that one I guess
I saw that SA recently, but it was in casuals usually and not in tournament play
Cool, but that’s not the same combo. I often saw similar combos, just not that particular one.
Boss’ version hits more frequently, with 1-2 more reps and supposedly the same finisher as that vid you linked it would get to 27+ hit range, maybe even over 30
Also, in the above video the sMP for the kara often hits, while Boss does the kara’s flawlessly since the sMP never gets into hit frames (faster execution).
Roshi in this one? I’m sold. downloads
Can anyone help me out with getting the latest GVision ranbat? I went to the page and somehow managed to get the torrent, but uTorrent can’t connect to any of the trackers.
try bitcomet 0.70
what’s your opinion on KO’s yang?
I don’t understand, haven’t Gamers Vision already released No.6? (see below). I’m confused. Have they decided to void the one i’ve linked below and do it again? Err. But with different players? Help!
Yeah, I noticed that in the beginning - I think they just mislabeled it as no. 6, cause they dated this one on the 23rd and the previous one was on the 9th. So really, this recent one should be no. 7.
He’s obviously a good player overall, but jesus christ is he gimmicky. Unsafe palms/teleport games/other weird shit - I suppose he gets his opponents scared though, since he doesn’t get punished all that often. He’s also hyper-aggressive as all hell, which you can see when watching him vs Roshi. But that’s not to say he isn’t good, because obviously he is lol.
Few [Yang-ish] related things:
- First time I’ve ever seen Roshi have a mirror
- Seiei Enbu vs Yuns? Uh… I myself had actually tried this out a long time ago [Seiei enbu activation seems to counter random far away genei jin activation, c.fierce in seiei enbu is fucking retarded, also s.forward [far forward] can be good too] against Yuns, but in my opinion it’s really not good at all. Why?
- Short bar only gives one EX until you throw out another special to build it up. That sucks. Even with Yuns crap def he’s not going to exactly die that quickly with Yangs low damage output.
- Annoyingly difficult to try and activate midscreen after a knockdown. The twins simply get up too fast, especially with quick recov. You’ll probably end up chasing him as he jumps away from your midscreen activation, and that’s a waste of a bar.
- Pretty much stuck with countering random genei jin activations. That’s all and well, because Yang > Yun in terms of no meter, but once he gets in, Seiei enbu CANNOT be activated without killing yourself [recov on that is horseshit compared to genei jin], and you only have one EX to try and get him away with.
I don’t get it, but I’m sure he knows better…
That’s very likely the real reason
Was hoping for an Alex mirror but it wasn’t to be KEI5000’s Alex is pretty decent as it goes and Uni’s Necro has really improved, I couldn’t believe he was taking rounds off Boss & Nitto o_0
I agree that Uni looked very solid in the ranbat. It must be all the practice for SBO, or maybe we just never gave him enough credit.
That was a good vid, although im a lil pissed to see the finals between a Yun and Chun…ewww.
Alright, to those complaining about Yuns and Chuns in the ranbats,
I’m a little tired of it.
I mean, I understand that Yuns and Chuns can seem to get repetitive at times, but it’s almost like you guys are forgetting these are some of LITERALLY THE BEST YUNS AND CHUNS IN THE WORLD. You don’t see them every single day (maybe every other ranbat or so, but still). Please do not act like you play against someone like that at your local arcade.
No, the vast amount of Yuns and Chuns is simply plain boring, it was that a year ago too it hasn’t changed now. And sure, the players that are shown in that vid are amongst the best of Japan, Japan has more to offer then a bunch of Chun and Yun players. Such as Yang players:P
But Rik, the KSK ranking battles always have been Yun & Chun and always will be Yun & Chun, nothing is gonna change that. What I do is simply skip through the entire vid until I find an to me interesting match up(mostly Ken matches).
i like how ken is interesting but yun isnt.
w h a t
i always watch a match as long as it has a semi interesting character or player at first, then i go back and browse the matches i didnt seem interested at a later date, they pull out some new ninja shit tactics occasionally that i like to see.
