The Official 3rd Strike Match Vids Thread

That Yang is still horrible.

To provide some positive input, the other players were ok. Regardless of screwing around or not, they weren’t too bad.

Why do people think we want to watch match footage of crappy players “screwing around”?

Why would you record it if it wasn’t serious?

“Quick guys get the camera! They’re screwing around we can’t miss this! He’s purposely playing like crap, OMG we need to get this on SRK IMMEDIATELY!!”

There will always be someone to waste our time.

Since there isn’t too much decent footage coming out lately, why dont some of you good players ‘mess’ around and record some shit. I know it would definitely be better than what I just saw…

a couple of comps of me playing my bro on dreamcast - were newish to the game and looking for advice!

dan

some post are soooo stupid.

your arguments are stupid and only prove how weak you really are… you only see if a guy miss something or if he can pushin something …not see all other aspect about de game (control space, pressing the advantage…etc)…
this vid have a lot of good players (grimlock , itachi , kmion) and you only make yours bad post about yang player…this is very sad

jugoso.

Nice! Shoryureppa!

PaulT gouki is  , more vids please, btw there’s a new ranbat on ksk’s blog, here’s the torrent link:

please stop talking spanish, nobody understand.
It’s an international forum and i can’t help it but english is a kind of an international language, if i speak french nobody understand and that’ll not help the discussion

Ok guy, I picked out the Yang player because I personally play Yang, and I know that what I just watched was horrible. HORRIBLE. He wasn’t doing ANYTHING. Do you understand? I watched his video closely, he wasn’t playing footsies, he wasn’t spacing well, he wasn’t even pressuring well. Low forward slash is an excellent tool to give yourself meter and pressure even when blocked. If I remember correctly, he didn’t do that once.

All I saw was him abusing the punch chain for no real reason.

So do you get it now? Exactly why I’m saying this guy was crap? You keep saying that I wasn’t seeing what he was doing right, WHICH WAS NOTHING.

Anyways, if the vids ever get put online [I didn’t record them], I’ll post my vids vs John Choi [again] and Ricky O. Ken v Yang. They whoop my ass some games, but I did ok overall.

Exactly. None of the players were crappy players nor the tournament wasn’t serious. It’s just the videos we recorded don’t reflect what the tournament really was.

I agree. Please stop posting in spanish. It only hurts our reputation instead of helping us.

I’m a member of the Ryuuko Staff (Carnby in the vids) and we IN FACT TAKE tournaments seriously. That’s why we’re trying to make tournaments as often as possible, recording matches, keeping track of every player’s score, and so on.

Maybe some of the matches of our last tournament weren’t so great, but we give the best we can. Of course we’ll try to improve in next tournaments.

Thanks for reading.

Not everyone here is a "Gringo"
calling everyone that lives in USA a gringo is a prove of ignorance

Im no tryin to flame anyone, but this community (SRK) is the biggest fighting game community and you can find find just about everything in here, people from Australia, Asia etc etc
and yes, some people dont have a nice way to say it, but those videos were average.

Dont go arguing with people, you will never convinve someone sutbborn that they are wrong.

Just listen whatever they wanna say and next week you post a video of that Yang beating K.O
thats the right way to just someone up allright.

If you look at those videos you dont have anything to prove that Yang doesnt suck.

Flamewars are dumb, and even more when you go arguing in spanish
I know how to speal spanish perfectly and chilean accent has always been nice to me

Yeah, new season but they’re back to singles, no teams in this one. Plenty of chun-li action, that’s all I’ll say.

I turned it off half way.

Just when I was going to ask if anyone else had done the same thing, heheh…

OK,I play as Ken and Ryu,so I’ll comment on those.

Ken player: Try to punish with c.mk into shippu or even ex tatsu rather than a sweep. Also, whenever you hit a jab Shoryu, follow it up with another. Experts can probably tell you when exactly you can know if it’s gonna juggle or not. Otherwise, I didn’t see much that I wouldn’t do myself!

Ryu player: You put up a pretty good fight, but I suggest you use Shinku Hadouken instead of Denjin if you’re gonna play like you did. With that much meter, you can abuse the EX hadou and punish any wayward fireball attempt by Ken. The Shinku itself is also pretty good, and suits the way you tried to use the Denjin. However, keep in mind that a more cautious Ken would be much harder to play against,as Ryu’s moves are easily punishable.

Hope that helps. I’m only talking from my limited experience here…

I like what you’ve got on there! I loved quarterfinal 2 especially!

man tokido is strong.

he must know the YvC matchup very well.

i always thought he was one of the weaker chuns cuz he loses to kokujin a lot.

16:20 - tricky tricky… Ochibi busting out some secret ninja tactics.

that must mean everybody is one of the weakest player of every character because kokujin fucking rolls over everyone.
