I wouldn’t go that far. While I agree that it’s not fair to judge people solely from videos, and that it’s easy for anyone to look shitty against the Japanese, Sora clearly isn’t good. I think we (including you) deserve a little more credit than “we’d lose because he’s Japanese.”
Here are some videos from the latest Toronto ranbat (on the 23rd). Yes I’m aware of the tactical and execution mistakes that I made. I always phase out and do weird things in tournaments.
thanks well here’s all the other matches i made same players same result LOL…
second match
third match
last match he finally gave up…
thanks for looking any advice would be good. i still need to work on my defence but on offence is there though alot of peeps say u attack way to much but that’s the way i play. was thinking about going to evo2k7 but not to sure if im good enough yet because my buddy that played with me wasnt that good either so it was pretty easy for me. plz leave me comments on YT…
Well, no one. I was referring more to GaijinBlaze’s post about overestimating Japanese players. What other reason did you have for saying that we’d probably lose to Sora?
Kyokuken: On wake up, mix up more low attacks. I saw a LOT of b+mk when Akuma was on the ground. Mixing in some c.lk and throws should help improve the offense.
Also, your oppenent always went for a low attack after a dive kick, and you responded with a parry (which is good). Just be warned that other opponents will mix it up w/ sc.fp, t+mp, throws, and dash backs, so parrying down could spell disaster (if it becomes habit).
Finally, a couple times you punished with sc.mp>sc.fp x hado xx super when you could’ve done sc.fp x mp SRK xx Super instead (which does more damage and is easier to do [for me, at least]). Not sure if you were going for style or just didn’t know about it, but it’s another option for you to use.
Aside from that, your offense is pretty good. Ate a few SRK’s though, so maybe try empty jumping w/ parry’s sometimes.
I recently discovered how to access the filebank guest log for the KSK Gamer’s Vision ranbats (seasons 2-5), so I’ll be uploading the matches that I think are most exciting from seasons 2 and 3, whichever ones TheShend hasn’t put up already.
I only upload the best matches, not the whole ranbat because sometimes there are yun or chun mirrors or other matches which might seem dull. However, if you want the whole ranbats for yourself, I’m willing to share how to access the gvision filebank. The ranbats are around 200mb each and it takes a few hours(for me atleast) to download going at like 20-30 kbps. I’ll throw up a tutorial in here later, just lemme know.
Hi Ghibli, funny you should mention GVision as since i’ve put up the FFA stuff i’m about to start on all the old GVision RanBats.
All of Season 5 is up and i’ve got all of Season 3 and 4 but i’m missing the 1st 3 RanBats from Season 2, they’re the only one’s I’m in need of (except the obv. 1st Season, was ever recorded?), so if I can grab those it’s be ace!
What would be excellent as well, just to help me label the video’s properly in the description, is the dates of each RanBat from Season 2 to 4. If possible!
I only know of 2 places to get old GVision’s Kx’s Gamers Maison (scroll to the bottom), but the filefront links don’t seem to work, which is a shame because there’s also SBO arcade qualifiers i haven’t got either
There’s also the GoForBroke Archive, but I don’t think it goes that far back.
Here are the instructions for accessing the Gvision filebank. Of course, you might need the japanese language pack installed, so you don’t get a bunch of crazy boxes and question marks all over the pages. Just follow the diagrams I linked and it should be easy.
