Hayne’s a beast man and he’s tough as nails. He signed with Parramatta his Rugby League club at 16 years old and he was ranked the best player in the world in 09. Hayne’s run ability is great but his defence in Rugby League is very good as well. In Rugby League his position (Fullback) is kind of like a Free Safety. I can’t wait to see what else happens with him given he’s only just started playing NFL.
Oh i heard about a rugby playing breaking off a huge run. That’s sweet.
e: Also Gordon gets happy feet at the line and I’m nervous. BO and Woodhead still ballin though.
and Phil got paid
He’s still really, really new to the sport. He only had his first padded practice like… ten days ago or something. This is the first game at any level, even school level, that he’s ever played haha. Given all that it’s pretty damn impressive what he’s managing. He’s a determined dude.
For clarities sake as well, he comes from Rugby League which is a pretty different sport to Rugby (Union). The balls are different sizes, teams are different sizes, contact rules are different, field is a different size, no scrum in League and so on and on. The difference between the two sports is bigger than CFL / NFL.
I don’t anything about the way the different leagues in rugby works. I’ve only watched a dozen or so all black’s games. Interesting.
They’re not different leagues, they’re different sports lol.
There are no rucks, mauls, scrums in Rugby League. Rugby League has downs, Rugby Union doesn’t. The ball is a different size, the field is different, less players in League, no throw ins. There’s no pushing in Rugby League like Rugby Union it’s more fast running in open spaces and one on one tackles. There’s more kicking in Rugby League as well. League is different from Union like Gridiron is different from Union. Both sports evolved from it but went their own way about 100 years ago.
Hayne comes from League. It’s played in Australia, Northern England, the south of France, pacific islands and the northern part of New Zealand mostly. The All Blacks are Union.
Yeah I think we can pull off a couple wins in the division except against Denver.
I really want Trent cut right now. He’s gotta go
A lot of key starters out for Week 1…meh. At least Ryan Matthews can get some work along with Aghalor.
All smart teams are protecting their starters. Some potential starters REALLY need work though, Jameis looked awful with the Buccs.
Still, I laugh whenever I read people posting on how the team is doomed from losing pre-season games.
Oh Sanchez…this is why you’re not the starter.
Yo, Hasselbeck is still in the league?
EDIT: Who is this decent QB and what has he done with Matt Barkley?
And goddamn Parkey has been shit since the start of TC. Hell since the end of last year it’s like the rookie jitters only NOW finally caught up with him.

Their o-line is still horrific, they were somewhere I think 31st in terms of being ranked in O-Line.

Yeah he’s still backing up Andrew Luck, he complains that he and Adam Vinateri get random drug tests all the time from the NFL.

The grass at Levi’s Stadium is ass. I hope he doesn’t get injured on that shitty field.
The Coliseum has sewage leaks that act as natural fertilizer and helps the grass.
The Niners might be fertilizer this year but they don’t have the same nutrients.
The 9ers will do okay. They lost a lot of players but they also picked up a lot, had a lot of depth in the organization and a good track record of raising unknown players.
There will be teething issues with a completely new coaching staff and so many new faces, they’ll have bad games while they get it sorted but they’ve got the right ingredients and a lot of talent in their camp.
Jim Tomsula’s the right man to transform the side. He’s an optimist but he’s also a realist, breaks stuff down to the essentials, keeps things simple and to the point. I think he’s got a big career.

I read that the Rams players bought some smelling sprays because it stank so much because of the sewage.
I don’t want the Raiders to leave. I love that fucking dump
I still can’t believe Barkley played like a mildly competent QB yesterday… Hell, he was the best Eagles QB out there.
Speaking of Tomsula I love the defensive line. Thats his strong suit.
I like how teams best units are reflective on their coach. Like the seattle secondary and Pete.
Any other teams like that
I see RG3 has bought into the delusion that all Redskins fans are forced to live under each season, thinking that a winning season is just around the corner.

Tomsula is the man for defence, a big thing with the guy is that the players love him though. The players didn’t like Harbaugh. Jed York didn’t like Harbaugh. An 8 - 8 season probably would have been overlooked in the scheme of things if it wasn’t for that.
Players like Tomsula a lot. They like Geep the new OC. Like, if it was all doom and gloom and people pointing fingers in the 9ers camp I’d say no chance but it’s not, the staff and the players are getting along and wanting to play ball.
