People break their bodies plastering, brick laying, doing hundreds of other menial jobs. A lot of guys would get their backs / knees / arms fixed if they had the money to. Soldiers get killed and don’t earn that money.
I have tons of respect for the players, I know they’re elite athletes and I understand how brutal and punishing the sport can be. I’m not at all begrudging the fact they’re getting paid for putting their bodies on the line. I just find the demands for more to be ludicrous when they are already receiving contracts that equal more than a life’s work in most other professions. Like put that shit into perspective outside of the NFL in the real world.
Apparently Boykins was on the trading block for a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles got rid of him because he wanted to play on the outside and will walk away if he didn’t. The coaching staff didn’t want him to move positions and he was already on the final year of his contract. He was scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season and the Eagles didn’t see him as anything but a slot corner.
Kelly doesn’t like this “culture” that’s currently in the Eagles’ locker room. I think it’s more like a clique/mob mentality that a certain group of players want to do whatever they want and will do anything to try and get their way (including bully the new coaching staff). It’s a mentality that probably existed before Kelly got hired.
Can’t believe pre-season is pretty much here already. Being a long time suffering Dolphins fan I don’t have high expectations of my team this season but I’m always down to be surprised.
We’re just a little too inconsistant. We have days like opening week vs the Patriots in which we turn the second half against them and the following week we stink against the Bills and then against the Chiefs. Happens way too often like the end of season burnout which kills all chances of playoffs.
Dez don’t give a shit about anyone on the team. He got his contract and money. He got about $45 million guaranteed. He has 45 million reasons to treat his inferior teammates like shit.
How dare you? Fantasy Football isn’t a “thing”. It’s life. It’s blood, sweat, and tears. It’s paying the price, everyday.
Making those trades.
Scouring that waiver wire.
Cutting that fat.
Doing that research.
Switching that lineup.
Add drop, rinse repeat
Talking shit to the scumbag you’re playing against this week.
Crying next week about how your starter played like shit.
Lamenting as your bench players blow up even though they had a “bad matchup”.
And most of all, posting on here and talking shit.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Fantasy Football is life.
Fantasy Football is America.
Fantasy Football is everything.
And thank god, it’s almost finally, FUCKING HERE!!!
