The Office (US)

It wasn’t great for a finale but I got some laughs.

Dwight outshines once again.

Definately weak compared to last years finale (Goodbye Toby), but there were some shining moments. Dwight kicking the ball of course, I also liked the “HR Rep” meetup with Toby and the other HR guy. Overall, I’m upset they didn’t end with an hour long finale, and they could have delievered some better jokes - it was more like a mediocre episode than a finale…

It was an OK episode, the pacing the last couple eps were pretty fast and they tried to get a lot of things done which obviously didn’t come out to well. Still The Office is still one of the best shows.

Yeah the episode just wasn’t that funny IMO. “Broke” was my favorite episode this season.

My favorite part was Toby talking to the HR guy from another branch

Dwight’s best friend is jokes

“kick the asses out of your serves and piss all over your faces!”

Anyone else notice the hospital that they were at was the same set for Scrubs?

Was it? Crazy, nah, I didn’t notice…

Yeah it is the same set.

Am I the only one that thinks this show is bone dry in it’s sense of humor? Not to dig on people that watch it, but I just don’t get what’s so great about it.

Recycle, reduce, reuse…

I guess the question is which episode(s) did you watch?

This is the only show that has uncomfortable embarrassing moments that you actually want to turn off at times. I don’t know how they do it.

Yeah… I would have preferred it if they hadn’t gone with the Holly-Michael awkward thing.

Kevin and Dwight were the funniest bits this ep for sure.

6-6, its a nail biter OUCH

can’t name any in particular, but most of the ones I’ve seen were pretty much all the same in a way. It just seems like a comedy that has no life to it at all, kind of like Monty Python, but even more dry.

Hate to be bumping this thread without any news of the show, but I’m watching some season 2 episodes and season 5 episodes back to back and I’m thinking Steve Carell seriously needs to lose weight. I dunno, looking at him the way he is now on the show makes it seem like he has less vitality than he did before, and I think it’s subtly affecting his voice too. Hopefully in the time between now and the new season he’ll be able to at least look more like he did in season 3.

Anyways, in case anyone didn’t know, the season 5 dvd set is now on Amazon for pre-orders and it’s scheduled for release on September 8.

So the new season will air its premiere on September 17. It’s apparently going to be titled “High School Reunion”, and that refers to Michael and Phyllis’ class. Seems interesting, but I’m just anticipating the first scenario with Pam :wonder:.

season premiere in 2 days!

I actually just bought season 5. I don’t watch this show on tv, but its like my favorite show on tv. Just powered though the first disc and deleted scenes. As I was taking a break I saw this thread.
God I love this show.

I bought it on Amazon, but I chose the free shipping, so it has taken far longer than I imagined. But yeah, the show’s awesome.

damn, why isn’t this on netflix instant queue like the rest of the series?

i guess i’ll be coppin it for blu-ray. i haven’t seen anything in that format yet.
