was it me or did that seem like an original 1 hr episode chopped to bits. everything just flew too fast and there wasnt really flow.
example: waiter hits on Pam. Jim puts arm around her and they cut immediately.

Seems like they’re making sutle attempts at putting tension between Jim and Pam. Her staying late at work leaving him to ride home with Meredith, as well as the waiter hitting on Pam. Things should get interesting once Karen is back on.
That’s it right there, I’m calling it. The Jim+Pam tension is going to be this: Jim is living his dream basically, he’s got a job good enough to support him and he’s got a great girl. But Pam wants more and is gonna start some shit about him not living up to his potential. Er… or is that just me and my girl:bluu:

Ugh. I am so against the idea of the Office II. I’ve never bought into the “Americans have been overmilking the show over the British one”, but this is definitely pushing it over the edge.
UK OFFICE WAS 12 HOUR LONG EPISODES.
the UK one had a whole different style of humor…
their michael scott was actually a complicated character-
he had all the naiveness michael scott had, but at the same time the audience always had this tinge of sympathy for him.
and i think thats what the last hour long episode captured. not that im saying its good or bad its just different.
as for an office 2…i think it could work. if worse comes to worse the original cast wont be affected at all.
