Woah that Juri is amazing. How did Hakan’s super catch Juri in her fireball animation? She wasn’t off the ground…

that vid looks like it was just meant to show off the chars most if not all of that stuff seemed very impractical

You don’t need to be off the ground for that to catch. It catches jumpers and people standing up.

I should’ve punished his focus attacks with more dive kicks lol. This was just first day stuff from this past Sunday so I was mostly just throwing things out there to see what was safe and what wasn’t. Towards the end I saw that he was going for the elbow drop, so I threw out the Ultra to see if it would reach and hit him which luckily it did haha.

Still rambling about on ways to land ex dive kick:

I just read on sonic hurricane.com about how Vangief (i think thats his name, neways a pretty goof gief player) conditioned Keno in their finals match at Arcade Infinity (cant remember which ranbat) to doing c.hp vs his jump ins.

Vangief jump at Keno twice pretty obviously expecting to get anti aired by a c.hp, and he did… but it turns out it was all a conditioning and a way to gather information as in to know what would keno do against his jumpins. The next time, he changed the spacing of his jumpin by a little, and punished kenos expected c.hp with an SPD.

Maybe Juri can do this sort of thing vs characters who dont have an srk type of antiair move, or vs players who antiair with normals when they feel they dont have the time to input the antiair motion. Juri could purposely take 2 c.hps or w/e the normal antiair of the other character is, in order to set up an ex dive kick for the next time.

That would obviously depend on the ex dive kick being able to beat those air normals… so im hoping it does since i dont have the game yet and im theory fighting like a dumbass over here :frowning:

I play against Vangief on regular occasions here in NorCal. He’s a genius when it comes to figuring out his opponents tactics and habits.

I played him in grand finals of a small tourney we had at my friend’s place and he beat my Juri with his T. Hawk 3-1 although I had to make him work to get in by storing fireballs since T. Hawk is huge. It sucks though that despite how huge he is, Juri’s mk fireball will still go right over his head when he’s crouching! Frickin bs lol.

I have difficulties with 2 challenges:

I cant connect the ultra, is it situational specific?

Problems connecting the ex dive after the secon jump mp, it just whiffs

EDIT: just solved this myself, you need to connect the second j.mp very low to the ground and the ex dive will connect

any help?

I had the best luck landing the Ultra when the dummy is slightly in front of me mid-air. If the dummy is right above me or too high/low in the air it wouldn’t work.

16 is a matter of speed, you can connect it midscreen. As soon as you recover from the vanilla divekick (1hit), you can connect the Ultra.

Just follow this video. I did all of the trials and filmed my hands while doing so.

i only have like 3 more trials left before I complete them all, one of them is 15 for some odd reason I just cant do it -_-.

Any tips for this one? and Ive also seen the Juri trial video thanks to the person above me for making it

edit : whoops I didnt know that for trial 15 you have to have the fuhajin charged before attempting

Juri Reversals

I found that an opponent knocks you down, it’s easy for them to destroy you by timing a focus attack so that it reaches level 3 as soon as you stand up. None of Juri’s normal attacks seem to effective counters.

EX Senpusha :qcb::k: seems to be the most effective.
If your lucky you can hit them with an ultra.

Does anyone have any strategies for these situations?

keeping a fire ball stored for a jump in is important with juri if u land a jump in with a stored fireball theres very good damage potential
