Same thing happens to me. I get to the cap of 9999 and then someone picks an easy course where I know I’m going to go down by a random blue shell or something.
I’m surprised that you guys are so down on Karts. I use the bike as well but I’ve been playing A LOT of good kart players lately. Most of the people I play against are able to make that turn on SNES Ghost Valley by the time I’ve made my jump over the short cut. I may switch to the kart after watching how good these players are.
Only good kart is the default one really.

How do you get stars by your name?
You need to have a perfect record off line which is 3 stars or more on every race for all 8 cups only two peeps I know made it that far good stuff.
