Totally understandable. But should you happen to push some SFIV player down and take his milk money in the near future, consider this MM offer.
Please understand that I meant no offense whatsoever when I called you an SFIV player. You have always been respectful and jovial to me on each occasion that we met. Calling you an SFIV player carried only the implication that I had witnessed you playing the game on two instances, not that you were a petty dick who uses accomplishments in a mediocre game to compensate for acknowledged failures in all other aspects of your life. You are always welcome in my house. Kuenai is welcome when he accepts the money match.:china:
I think he’s posting from a spectator view instead of a player view. People be like “we out for blood, but y’all cold blooded.” There are some unrealistic expectations being thrown around here. Casual players are expected to take the game seriously. People who take the game seriously are asked to be laid back, for the fear of being too serious.
Its like people horsing around and someone gets slapped in the face then they get mad.
The trend with games that cater to casual players is that not everyone who participates in that scene is there for blood and glory.
The flip side is people who sit on the fence. They have friends who play super. They want to be good or consider themselves to be good but where’s the fire? When new people come to the tekken scene, if they play my character (julia/king/etc) I am overly critical of them. “so and so can’t do isw juggles, he is a scrub.” When I joined TW season 2, a few people I did not know came up to me and were talking at me about Rufus. Since I’m a casual at super, I thought it was cool that they would be able to offer me tips and a chance to practice etc. I would probably not be the same if the positions were reversed.
A weird analogy would be “fcml plays ibuki so badly I’m going to take on his character, beat him and everyone else with it to show that character’s true potential.” I constantly hear berating of said player but the only action I see brought to challenge this guy is exiling him from social events. For as much dislike, I don’t see mm, grudge matches, online battles of any sort, only the avoidance of conflict. Passive aggressive approaches. If I’m mistaken about that, my bad.
The thing these people on the fence have to realize is that the ultimate responsibility to get better comes from within, like Elias said something in his signature about the glass being half empty or whatever, your glass is only going to contain what effort you put forth into it. bowflex is definitely not saying anything bad about friendships through fighting games.
i would be down to play casual magic format, (Basically, best deck you can build, no solid format but no p9…) and possibly some mm for magic, also looking for some practice in ssf4, Deluster is my PSN id and I am down to play online. Add me. I am in oregon so connection should be alright.
I wasn’t planning on going this Thursday, since I dont get paid until Thursday night at midnight and money is tight right now. If this weekend doesn’t work for you, the next Thursday after?
I’m aiming to take down the “Titans” of our community if possible. And putting up cash makes it more serious. Obviously I have nothing against you, but I like serious matches.
that was a typo be me. I meant i was a fan of legacy combos, that can win in 4 turns or less, but i really liked alt win strategies more than anything. Manny is a big mtg fan, and he plays against Gpelle and some other cats from WA
