That Double K.O. was pretty heartbreaking.
I played a few really good closeass games with Mr. Julius Blaze too.
I got a pretty mean voice message from some guy who thought I was a little too defense oriented at times with Balrog.

I’m having a blast as well. Sounds like the 360 version kicks you out of a scoreboard match lobby like the PS3 version does.
I get kicked out of my rooms a lot
health bars stop displaying correctly
music stops
some people warp around because of lag, really rare though
I think that’s it? Its bad enough to need a patch though.
I also thought they were going to display people’s weekly and all time rank by character. I’m disappointed about that.
Man I got hella beasted on last night. I fought around 5 kens and claws all for ranked matches. Since I refuse to play Ryu, winning with Gief can be a challenge. Don’t expect me to break the top 100 anytime soon.
I want to see some gief owning dhalsim.
Oh yeah, when I go to check Friend’s Scoreboard ranking it freezes my system up. I have to hold the power button on the PS3 for like 3 seconds before it beeps 3 times, then shuts off.
One time it dropped all my console settings afterwards. Needless to say I don’t check that shit anymore.
But overall the gameplay is very smooth. I’m happy with it.
Closing in on 300 ranked games! Someone play me TONIGHT! PS3 ID to the left after 5PM I will be on ALL NIGHT LONG!
Hell, I’ll bite.
You’ll see me doing jumping shorts instead of flashkicks and jumping jabs instead of srks.
btw, is there even such a thing as a ps2 to 360 pad converter? i’m probably one of the few people who prefer using the pad over sticks at home
There is but it is expensive ($90) and does not work well. You are probably better off trying to find a good xbox pad.
yes gief owning dhalsim would be tite to see. Good games everyone
I played so far. Its getting fun.
anyone have any recommendations?
Never piss on a cop car.
pick sentinel.
be like water.
Bebop ftw.
Very cool games tonight Roll. Put me in my place as to where I need to be. Your Dictator was PRESSURE FILLED GOODNESS.
Getting booted from your own game is hella hilarious.
That Negative Edge guy or whatever was cool…sent me an invite I replied with this site addy. Seems like a cool peep.
Honestly I just started playing this game ‘seriously’ and it makes me ashamed. This shit is so fun!
Get at me…I don’t mind losing as long as I feel I’ve picked up some strats.
Long as you don’t mind playing down to my level.
Peace!
FallingEdge.
Also use more fake fireballs. Especially against Honda :wgrin:
Good ish man
Also, RainbowRoll is fucking nasty. So hard to play against solid Guile players. And I can’t play against Blanka and he just destroyed me. GGs guys.
Haha I’m not a Guile player BTW no offense I’m just really turtley and cheap with him online LOL. GG’s to Tepid and FallingEdge tonight hope to see you on tomorrow.
I beasted a guy with Boxer, double perfecting him and combo-ing into super at the end off of a dizzy… I then got like 6 messages with just a title as LITTLE BITCH!
256-wins 50-losses is my current record in rankings.
Hey, guys, it’s been a while. I Just got an XBL gold membership for this game, so shoot me a friend request if you know who I am. I’m playing on a pad, and was never really much of a Super Turbo player to begin with, so I’m not super awesome or anything, but I’m having a good time.

All these savages coming back, this is too awesome.
What what?! What’s that Mandel? You want to know what songs I think are decent on HD Remix? Besides just Fei Long’s? Well alright then! Here you go! :wgrin:
First of all I just want to say that I think a few of the songs suffer from a lack of intensity, which I mentioned a few times below. Some great songs were nerfed down to the status of elevator music, but a lot of songs got better and there was some general improvement across the board. Some just came out different, but great in a new way.
Starting from the top in no particular order.
Fei Long?s Stage- No need to review it. Everyone knows how amazing this background music is. It?s probably one of the highlights of the Remix version. Next to all the art of course.
Dhalsim?s Stage- Huge improvement. Sounds amazing. Complete turn around from what was probably the worst music in ST, and is right up there with Fei Long?s in my opinion.
Honda?s Stage- Worse then ST because of it has been toned down. Lost what little intensity there was in the original, but it does fit with the bathhouse theme, and has a very ?water-like? like sound to it, so its not totally out of place.
Ken?s Stage- Decent. Replaced the fake SNES sounding guitar with a real one and stayed true to the feel and sound of the original. General improvement.
Chun li?s Stage- Stayed true to the original for the most part but used a real flute and a slightly remixed end version of the song. I prefer the old version, but like the new instruments, so I am neutral on this one.
Blanka?s Stage- Sounds almost exactly like the original, but with some bass put into the background. Not much of a change at all. I consider it the same as ST.
Zangief?s Stage- I prefer the new song. The high pitched guitar doesn?t necessarily suit Geif and I think a deeper sound would have been better, but the song is definitely improved in composition.
Guile?s Stage- Probably one of my favorite Street Fighter songs, and I think they did it justice by keeping it almost exactly the same but with improved instruments. They go a little overboard with the percussions, but good overall.
Ryu?s Stage- Get?s started a little slow, but I like it. The iconic melody isn?t as prominent as it used to be, but its still there. The percussion is great, and has a nice pace for an ST match, so I think it fits the stage well.
T-Hawk?s Stage- Definitely puts you in that Aztec atmosphere, but I prefer the old song. Overall, seems like they tried to do too much with it and it doesn?t fill in the background enough with a consistent tune.
Dee Jay?s Stage- Sort of weak. The old song had a sense of intrigue to it (only way to put it). The remixed version is to light and sounds like elevator music, and has too many breaks to be an effective background song. I prefer the old.
Cammy?s Stage- This is probably the worst song on the remix! Whether I like Cammy?s theme because her stage is one of my all time favorites, or because it was just great, I really love the original! They took out that driving beat in the background which was the whole life of the song and replaced it with some crappy clapping and the entire melody is to soft. When your fighting on a bridge, you need to know your fighting for your life!
Boxer?s Stage- Sexy Trunks seems to fit the stage well, even if it is a little jazzy which doesn?t really fit Balrog. They stayed with the original melody enough that it still works well. I guess it?s an acceptable change.
Claw?s Stage- Really dropped the ball on this one. To slow and soft. A very low key background song for what should be furious cage match. Pretty disappointing.
Sagat?s Stage- Definitely an improvement. They stayed really true to the original, but it definitely sounds better with new instruments or synthesizers. The old song was always pretty mellow, so no loss of feeling or mood like in Vega?s or Cammy?s.
Dictator Stage- Almost hard to recognize as Bison?s but I like it. The main melody is sort of hidden in the percussion, but I think it?s a more fitting song for a final stage. I always liked the bell sound at the beginning of his stage, because I thought it was coming from the bell in the background, but I didn?t notice it in this version.
Akuma Stage- Can?t really compare it to the original, but I like it. I am also getting tired.
I feel like a lot of the iconic melodies we all know and love wouldn’t be so memorable if this were the origional soundtrack, because some take a back seat to the fancy stuff they tried to do, or they are just generally quieter then they used to be, but I am okay with that. I know them, and I don’t think Remix is for the 7 year old playing his thumbs bloody who will learn to love ST for years to come. Its a new age for the seasoned believers.
So that’s my rundown/rushdown. I am still without a 360 or PS3, but maybe sometime soon.
