You should’ve sold it last year if you wanted that kinda price. It got reprinted, and although the reprint run has a different cover art, no one outside of DBZ fanboys or hardcore Playstation collectors will care, and even then, it’s not worth more then 50 bucks, tops.
You’d be hardpressed to get a game’s average price that I don’t know.

Yeah i know it got re-released, but i am selling it to the hard core fans. i have two and i want to sell one, so if anyone wants the older version it is worth anywhere from 190 to 300 dollars depending on condition and if it has all the goodies with it.
fact remains that if they want it they will pay for it, the so called re-released version is just that, most people who actually like something will go for the GOLD.

Except that’s a lie. here, let me pull out the Digital Press collector’s guide. Over the course of the past few years, they’ve had staffers checking the prices on these PS1 games, and how much they tend to go for. The book’s cutoff date was before the rerelease, so keep that in mind for the average price.
Price: 80 bucks. Rarity: 6. “Once considered one of the rarest Playstation games, it’s since moved down due to it’s availability on ebay”.
With the rerelease, expect that price to drop, oh say, by half, since most people don’t give a shit except the label variation collectors. A couple guys hoping to get a ridiculous sum of money for that game does not constitute the norm, and if you’re using them as a guide, I’m thanking god you weren’t in charge of that section. You can’t just take a few random auctions on ebay and base a price on that-I did a section in that book too, I’m aware of how it works.
Radiant Silvergun pisses me off, because it’s clearly not rare if at any time you can go on ebay and find like 5 or 6 copies for sale. And yet, treasure fanboys pay out the ass and drove the price up. Same story for Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Ignoring re-releases, there are plenty listed on that search that have the original instruction book pictured like your vaunted non-differentiating first release. None of them are listed anywhere near the price you are wanting.

See its funny you should say that because people have said the same crap about comics, and cards, the point remains that if something is rare no remake on earth will take it away. They made only 6 copies, and sometime not knowing when, the remakes will become rare, those that keep the originals will be holding on to a ultra rare. You can remake a Michael Jordan card all you want, but the original will still be just that.
I have seen my comics go up and down, first wolverine comic to 100 it goes up then down again because they say its rare, mid rare, ultra rare or whatever, point being is that its a roller costar ride, and when the time is right the price will go back up, maybe not as much or even higher, but there is the slight possibility you are right and it will not go up past 80 bucks, but the question still holds, for how long will it hold its price?
It doesn’t really matter what it’s worth in the future if you want to sell it right now.
It’s interesting, about rereleases. Take Atari 2600 Gravitar-the original is worth more, but the fact that the rerelease exists, really causes it to drop in price. Another game called Quadrun that had about the same print run as the original gravitar run, goes easily for twice the amount said original run does. Both games are fairly popular, due to their quality, but the simple fact is that most collectors won’t bother getting the original run version if they have the 2nd run, unless it practically falls into their lap for a low enough price. Obviously 2600 collectors aren’t always the same as Playstation ones, but it’s applied across pretty much every other platform. I mean, look at Playstation games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, etc. All of these had reprints with different labels(in this case, Greatest Hits runs), and although the original does go for more, it really killed the prices of those games. Xenogears in particular must’ve fallen like 40 bucks, at least.
And of course, if the reprint looks just like the original (like the reruns of Puzzle Fighter or Metal Slug X), then it’s price just falls in general.
GT’s price has been falling over the past few years, anyway-the reprint just sped it up. Once people realized how easy it was to find a copy online, and the whole DBZ craze died down, they just stopped paying ridiculous prices, and it has thus dropped. I remember back in the heyday of the show, when cartoon network played it like 4 times a day, GT would easily command prices over 200 bucks.
I hate to interrupt your roller “costar” ride, but Wolverine 100 is not rare in the least. It’s not even uncommon. To put it to your scale, I have 8 copies of it myself, and no store is going to sell it for more than $40 if they actually want it to move.

for those who liked that Godzilla Melee there’s a new one out in Japan I have a backup copy of it. I haven’t played it much but my older brother has and from what i seen it’s similar to the first. I think Mothra is playable this time. And although I’m late finally was able to get Metal Gear Solid 3 and I like it.
