I got all the Moons from the Cascade and Ruined Kingdoms last night. Working on the Sand Kingdom next.
Edit: Fuck, I should probably spoiler this just in case.

Right now I’m rocking Diddy’s hat and Waluigi’s overalls, lol.

What I mean is…
Galaxy = linear progression, go from point A to point B
64 = more open, objective based
Which one does SMO resemble more?
Both equally
So on my way to Bowser’s Kingdom
The Odyssey got wrecked again. But this time it landed in the Ruined Kingdom. Holy crap, this place was looked like something out of a Castlevania game. Even the Boss, Lord of Lightning looked super realistic. I was like "Um, what are you doing in this game? You are looking WAY too real and intimidating. Interestingly, after you beat him, he doesn’t explode like every other boss and when you leave the Ruined Kingdom, you can see his wings spread out as if he’s guarding the remains of the kingdom. I think it is suggested that this boss was being controlled. It was a very cool, unexpected stop.
Bowser’s Kingdom
WHHHHHHHHAT?! What is this?! Where is the lava? What is this baller flute music?! This place is feudal Japan AF and I love it!
Just got done with the festival…watching Pauline sing and dance is entertaining. Also wasnt expecting them to lip sync in English but they did
God I can’t fucking wait until my work is finally done so I can play this bloody game already.

Wow I finished Mario Odyssey last night and holy shit, what an incredible game. Then after I finished it, I played for about 2 more hours and didn’t even realize what time it was. It’s pretty incredible what Nintendo did after you beat the game and where it takes you. I can see myself playing this game for a long time.
Spoilers below include post game stuff…
[details=Spoiler]When I went into the Mushroom Kingdom painting and saw how it looked, I could not wait to get to it. And then when you get to it, it’s just full of nostalgia things that couldn’t make me stop smiling.
I fucking explored every nook and cranny of the damn Mushroom Kingdom and wanted to keep looking around. I still don’t have close to all of the moons on that level, not including all of the awarded ones.
Then I went to the dinosaur level and popped open the moon crate and see how many more stars there now are holy shit! This game gonna be fun!
Question though - in the store you can buy multiple moons on that level. Is that part of the required moons on the level does anyone know? Or are those like “makeup” moons? I didn’t check out the stores in any other level so I am not sure if they all are like that or not.[/details]
[details=Spoiler]
The store moons are just a boost to unlock more levels, buying those don’t replace the 800 that are in the world.[/details]
Anyone use a decent bluetooth transmitter for their Switch? Looking for a cheap on that doesn’t lag sound.
Cannot wait for skyrim or LA Noire next week either… got a long "work trip coming up after thanksgiving… thank you based switch
The only store moon I bought so far was in Cascade Kingdom, and it actually counted as one of the listed moons. After I bought it, the inventory in the store now says “got it” or something. So it counts once as a moon towards your collection.
[details=Spoiler]
Yeah that’s not what I was asking about. I was asking about doing that AFTER you finish the game in Mushroom Kingdom, where you can just keep purchasing them. I noticed it shows the number of the ones you purchased, next to the 1 list item in the list of moons though, so it confused me a bit as to the point of purchasing more than 1.[/details]
[details=Spoiler] Yeah I’m not sure man. The only moon I purchased was in Cascade, and that was to complete my list for that kingdom. I’ll try to buy another one from there and see if it has a counter like the store in MK does. If so, I would imagine that any moon purchased after buying the first one (to count towards the list) would be just to power up the Odyssey. Like Plaid_Unicorn said, they wouldn’t count towards the 800 or so moons in the world (meaning you can’t complete your lists just by buying moons). Did the first moon you purchased at the MK store actually count as one on the list? If so, that would indicate that each kingdom with a store will have one purchaseable moon on the list.
Some kingdoms, like Cloud Kingdom and Ruined Kingdom, don’t have stores and only have 9 or 10 moons.[/details]
A DLC pass… fuck, was hoping this Xenoblade wouldn’t have that issue. We dodged that bullet in the West with the Japanese DLC for Xenoblade X being free but it looks like or luck with that is up.

This game will be large enough to get your money’s worth and then some probably to the point can chill on the expansion until you are ready to drop the money. The thing I’m most interested in is the extra story so if tell me ehats up with that and I dig it then I’ll buy so long as the price isnt ridiculous.
So I beat Super Mario Odyssey. Much sooner than I had planned to.
[details=Spoiler]I’m finally in the Mushroom Kingdom! Super Mario 64 costume? Um, YES!
Yoshi?! YOSHI!
I can play any music I want whenever I want now?Why and how does this game keep getting better?!
Mushroom Kingdom is such a huge nostalgia boner for me. I kept saying “I need to go to bed.” I had to force myself to stop playing and call it a night as it was 8:30 AM. I cannot suck this game off enough.[/details]
Finished Mario Odyssey last night. The second Bowser fight was a lot of fun due to the slight pattern shake-ups and
and being able to control him! That was a really cool touch at the end, as was the music that have instructions on what to do, lol. Wasn’t expecting the Mario 64 throwback either. That was an awesome touch. I’m rocking the N64 model right now, and I’ll get the Skull outfit soon enough. I’ll start buying posters and statues after that.
Really enjoyed what the game had to offer and I haven’t even been doing all the side missions, platforming challenges and side missions so there is still plenty of game left.

Waiting to buy posters and stuff is kinda pointless. You use the worlds special coins to purchase that stuff so you might as well spend it as soon as you have it.
I’ve been playing this for like 2 hours each night even though I finished it on Monday. I’m at like 375 moons or so and I am not bored one bit with this game. I still never want to put it down.
I’m still in the metro kingdom. Trying to find all the band members. I can’t find the guitarist for the life of me.

Hit minus to pull up a map and you should be able to spot him.
