The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

I really like this game.

I dunno if that is considered ‘indie’ since it’s a remake of an old game, but it’s on the eShop for $20 and is a lot of fun. I haven’t finished it yet though as I save it for when on flights, but I am flying next weekend so maybe I will make more progress.

MHXX tomorrow…

Speaking of nindies FAST RMX is getting a free update in September that’s adding in 6 new tracks in two new cups.

The Switch is fucking my wallet UP. This past month, I’ve been chillin on spending and today I fuckin relapsed. I bought $60 worth of games off eshop, and also bought Splatoon 2, screen protector, protective case and carrying case. Fuck. Also looking at getting MK8 digital, and Arms…with MK8 and Arms, I would legit be set until Odyssey drops, or Xeno 2.

Been playing the Arms test fire, game def has a learning curve. The game is fun, but my experience with it has been bad due to them keeping putting me on that hedlock mode and 2v2 lol,

Just because it’s that good. I could care less if I’ve already posted this:

Ditto. Back to the grind game in Monster Hunter XX, and Xenoverse 2 and Pokken coming out this month…shit. Instant backlog right there for at least 1 of those titles.

I would say not great, until we see either a legit effort from Capcom, SNK or Arc Systems appear on the system and succeed, I think most developers/publishers will pull the ‘audience’ card and claim that fight game fans don’t support Nintendo systems.

Anyone who says that after how much USF2 has sold so far is full of shit.

Man I can get Rabbids tomorrow for around 40-ish. might put it off though. spent wayyyyyyyy too much over the weekend and dont wanna build a switch backlog already.

idk though

My copy of Mario + Rabbids kingdom battle shows up Tuesday. I doubt I’m going to hop on it right away though.

So this ACA Fatal Fury 2 Special…I’ve never played the arcade or snes versions. I HAV E played the Game Gear version, which was surprisingly good, despite lacking voices. I was wondering if the ko effects for special/death moves was the same, or just a bone that was thrown to Game Gear players:

When you ko someone with a special or death move that had multiple attack frames (even if during the match they only score one hit if not blocked), every attack frame scores a hit in a dramatic fashion. Joe’s Tiger Kick would result in an extra 4-6 hits if you ko’d with the first hit, Mai’s Ryuu Enbu, Kim’s Hangetsu Zan, and Andy’s Shoryuu Dan would hit 3 times, etc. Was that in the original version?

Most people in the business world are indeed full of shit. Despite everything there are more of those types making decisions then consumer friendly developers or publishers, so if a bias exists whether it is due to cost of porting, a preference for higher end tech specs or just a number of things, we will probably hear the audience card.

All the ACA Neo Geo games are ports of the Neo Geo MVS versions.

Ok, mission failure 5 goddamn times now… I’m not sure how Stage 4 of Tamamo’s story can be beat unless you’ve just leveled up to pure god status where you can 1 or 2-hit everything. If you try and keep Lu Bu (of all people!) alive, then the enemy forces quickly take over all the sectors…like in about 2 minutes. If you try and keep them from taking over the sectors…Altera will easily destroy Lu Bu in record time since she’s apparently Super Saiyan God x1000 in terms of power.

I think changing from Tamamo’s sorry ass might be the key…though this still seems quite difficult… and it’s frustrating because it’s not like the character I’m controlling is getting beat up here… it’s because either the enemy side takes all the sectors over (instant failure of the mission) or Lu Bu gets killed (instant failure of mission).

This is one thing I’ve noticed when playing her side of the story… I really, really can’t stand this bitch Tamamo. The bitch just plain sucks, man. Her transformation is good though, so at least there’s that…but Stage 4 will end in failure long before you have time to build enough meter for that transformation. Even if you secure 1 sector, they’re just going to take the shit over again in about a minute…you come back to try and save the day but too late…Lu Bu’s just died so you guys lost again.

Nindie showcase today at 10AM PST/1PM EST.

Well…time for me to buy a Switch!!

So fucking stoked for the new nmh.

Nindies showcase was good af. My heart sped up on that NMH announcement. Fuck. Even aside from that, lots of games im planning to pick up.

Btw anyone here got MK8 Deluxe? Did they rebalance the game? What I mean is I remember in the wii u version that whatever place you were in, you were stuck in for some reason. Rather in 1st place or lower. Did anythng else experience that or just me?

This one feels more normal

Wait…is NMH going to actually have NMH gameplay, or is it just a series of unrelated indie games bundled together under the banner of NMH, and the only actual NMH stuff we get will be the intro, transition to the next indie game, and ending cinemas? This could turn out to be a big as hell bait and switch, guys.

No it’s been confirmed to be a regular No More Heroes game. The setting of the game is inside of the console but the gameplay style is the same as prior games.
