The first thing I did after making my avatar in Splatoon was turn off motion controls. Fuck that noise
First thing I did in Splatoon was turn motion off.
Then i turned them on again and my charger accuracy got much better, motion controls rock.
Pretty much. I was like “Where the fuck are the settings?” God, I watched that video of some dudes trying to convince me that MC is superior to thumb sticks and they did the total opposite. I’m sure aiming is “better” cause you put in “less physical inputs” but, from every other FPS I’ve played that didn’t have motion controls, I did just fine… And not ever FPS had aim assists so, fuck that noise. I played ranked in Splatoon 1 without MC just fine.
It really has. But at least now the Art match the writing.
I’m surprised they still even talk about games, did they realise nobody gives a fuck about their shitty story pieces or something after they started spamming the shit out of them more than gaming stuff?
I figured they gave up on the web comic ever since PAX was a thing.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll download the Wal-Mart app even though I’d rather avoid Wal-Mart.
Edit: showing up out of stock on the app. Good lookin’ out regardless!

Another amiibo question. Is there no way to pre-order the BotW Champions coming later this year? Was that only possible during E3, if at all?
Thanks in advance.
The preorders went up the day after they were announced and basically sold out everywhere that day (GameStop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy…etc)
So now your only chance is to get them on release day.
Edit: Walmart still has them in stock but you can only find them through their smart device app. You also have to look them up specifically by name
So “Urbosa”, “Daruk”, “Revali” and “Mipha”.
They’re also at a lower price than MSRP which is nice. I’d preorder them sooner than later. Zelda Amiibo related is considering extremely rare now. The champions will be no different. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll download the Wal-Mart app even though I’d rather avoid Wal-Mart.

@Femto I just looked on the app and all 4 are still available. Not sure how you’re looking them up but they’re there

I am still wondering how PAX came a thing?
The motion control thing is a parallel to Arms and its motion controls ( if arms non motion controls didnt have block somewhere not intuitive). You can be great at Splatoon and you’ll have fun and probably be ranked up there if you are trying to play semi competitively…but there is going to be a wall that you are gonna hit that is going to tougher to break through until you take the weighted clothing off.
I’m fine with motion controls when I’m sitting on a couch, playing on the tv.
I’m not fine with motion controls when I’m taking it around as a handheld, shifting around the place with gyro controls while I’m trying to play in public is an absolute no go. Big example is the gyro related shrines in Breath of the Wild are fucking weird in handheld mode.
Dem Calves on Urbosa…

Never skip leg day.

Except it’s not, motion controls in Splatoon are the closest thing to keyboard and mouse without being keyboard and mouse.
I don’t use them because they’re more fun I use them because they’re more effective.
And in Arms, there’s no denying motion controls have a higher learning curve but you can do everything you can on pad with them with practice and you get access to punch curving and fine tuning that you don’t on pad.

…I am confused as to where the disagreement here is.

Yeah, you both basically said the same thing, lol. I was wondering that, too.
All I know is once you hit Go Getter in Salmon Run, Fuck the Grillers especially on high tide.

Oh I thought I was going in the direction of using motion controls being the optimal option whilst you was going in the direction of motion controls just being good for fucking around.

No that wasnt what I was saying. Weighted clothing = playing analog
