The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

My sister was never super into gaming. So we never “shared” a system really but at the same time we did. She’s play stuff with me like TMNT Arcade, Manhattan Project, Hyperstone Heist and other beat em ups like streets of rage. But she very rarely went out of her way to actually play video games on her own until the PSOne and PS2 because of Gran Turismo and the obnoxious amount of puzzle games for both platforms.

Our matches in Puzzle Bubble and Super Puzzle Fighter we’re so intense. Lol

She actually learned about cars and stuff through Gran Turismo and going to the arcade with me when I wasn’t old enough to go by myself. She’d play Cruisin’ World and other arcade racers while I’d play fighters with friends

Just a follow up so my Dad doesnt seem like some kind of massive asshole (we all have our moments) he has since appologized to me in my adult years for throwing my games away. All on his own he equated my sitting around playing games as being no better or worse then the thousands of hours he has spent sitting around doing nothing but playing his guitar.

Meant a lot to me, and was wild to hear him volunteer this apology years after the fact when I was long over it and never once asked for one.

I have a sister who isn’t super into gaming. If she played a game it was usually a puzzle, rhythm or party game. She enjoyed playing stuff like bust-a-move, Lumines, Guitar Hero, Rock Band (PSP), DDR, and Mario Party.

I’ve heard that not all of the games are in English. I’d have to do some more checking to be sure but if this is the case, it might be something to consider for anyone that wants to buy the Kunio-kun collection off Play-Asia.

Project Starship is out now on the eShop. Pick it up before 3/5/2020 and you can save 20% off. I’m gonna snag it along with Ghost Blade HD, which is also on sale.

I bought Timespinner from my Best Buy and I’ll probably pick it up Monday after work. Ordering online and then picking up in the store is awesome.

Valfaris is on sale on Amazon as well as the eShop. $17 or so on the eShop but you can’t beat $24.99 for a physical copy.

That sucker will arrive for me on Sunday.

I guess is a generation thing. Back in the day we would get a console per home. One NES, one SNES

I imagine it was more of a means issue generally.

Like a NES was $199 in 1987.
That like $600 now

I know I’m probably the only one stoked about this but I really love all the QoL updates and small additions they’ve added to this remake

I never played the OG Mystery Dungeon but I really like the visual design of the DX remake.

I’d love to get Sonic amiibo of Sonic’s Smash Ultimate render. That sucker just looks so dang clean! Much as I love his Smash 4 amiibo, I honestly think his Ultimate render is miles better.

My Simon amiibo was picked up last week. I’m at work and I didn’t take any pics to post yet but he and Richter might be two of my faves. I’m gonna go back when I get more cash to pick up Ivysaur because that model is just all kinds of awesome. My Best Buy actually has a hefty supply of most current amiibos.

I’ve been seriously considering getting a 3DS XL off eBay.

Does anyone have one of those Ethernet adapters for switch? If so was it worth getting?

I’m thinking about getting one for when SamSho finally comes out. Also why TF did Nintendo not put an Ethernet port in the dock?

I’m actually considering buying a N2DXL from work when I get my tax return. It can do everything the N3DSXL can do except for play the only two games that were made specifically for the “New” model. Fire Emblem Warriors (which is asssss) and Xenoblade Chronicles which is getting a Complete Edition remake for the switch this year.

My N3DSXL works just fine but it’s shell has definitely seen better days plus all the screws are somehow stripped so I can’t even change the shell or swap sd cards.

It makes a big difference in games like Smash, for sure.

SNES NSO controllers are back in stock

Here hoping for others that the controller dont sell out in 20 min

IIRC, Nintendo gave a 4 controller limit per NSO account lifetime this goaround.

There is no limit on How many SNES NSO controllers you can purchase
.
There was originally a limit of 4 per household but that restriction is no longer there.

I’m expecting my tax return literally any day now and I get paid on Wednesday. I hope they last until then so I can get two of them.
