You know, if you think about it, those NES & SNES free download things you get when you subscribe to Switch Online are basically the same thing. You’re playing games you don’t own, but Nintendo says it’s ok because it’s through them.
It is because you are paying a subscription to access those games.
It’s still using an emulator to play roms which was his main point.
So all Switch networking services will be down on 1/7/20 for an hour. A lot of people are suspecting it’s a complete overhaul of the home page UI. Including themes, music for the home page, more avatars, compatibility with streaming services…etc.
Speculation is also going around that of course, either leading into the maintenance time or a few days after the maintenance a new direct will be announced. For reasons
IMO it is likely just a stability update that leads to nothing.
if they’re doing music for the home page, let’s hope we get the gawd tier Wii shop music as an option.

I loved how musical the Wii and Wii U were so I can’t get behind that. I especially liked when a big release was coming out that the eshop would play music from that game. People are STILL doing renditions of the Mii channel music from the Wii to this day.
I just want the option.

TT Games say in an interview that the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga collection “plays like a dream” on the Switch
Also mentions that though the switch is new technology it feels familiar and has been very easy to develop on. They continue in saying that they want to make Nintendo and their fans happy with this port due to their long and pleasant relationship they’ve created due to past LEGO titles they’ve brought to the Nintendo family of systems

picked up the fighter pass for Smash Ult, and immediately started making Smashers online cry with Terry. Also picked up Ikaruga, but that’ll probably be played after the new year. Gonna put Astral Chain on hold for the time being and start up BotW and ring in the new year trying to get to snu snu town.
I got my nephews Duck Game for Christmas from Limited Run games and I spent yesterday evening ruining their shit.
10/10 would crush their little souls again.
That’s an important part of growing up, getting your soul crushed by someone much better than you at something. It’s a valuable lesson.
