Its a SNES era JRPG. Its set in a unusual setting for RPGs which is kinda on par for the course for the SNES, For Earth Bound it’s Modern times, you are dealing with Aliens and straight up crazy shit, and instead of Magic you got Psionics. You not just name your party members, you name a fav food as the GOAT healing item and the name of your final attack.
On the surface it seems like a very silly and odd ball RPG With not much going on. However, the last arc gets incredibly dark. It’s super fucked up. The first time I beat Earthground I had nightmares about the ending for almost a week.
Gameplay wise there’s nothing really special about it. It’s more the atmosphere, the memorable characters (main/npc/enemy alike) and its total 180 in narrative towards the end.
Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings is more or less the origin story of the antagonist of Earthbound.
Mother 3 is just depressing as fuck. It’s so good tho
Loving Breath of Wild!!
So far I’m trying to upgrade health, stamina and inventory space!!
I’ve fully upgraded the rune abilities!!!
Just upgraded the Za Warudo!! / Stasis rune to its final form…I thinking!!
My main problem is getting gear (though I love the flagship blue shirt that shows enemy health), money, and deciding rather to upgrade health or stamina!!
I may have solved money issues, as I had upon this video:
IGN posted almost 20 minutes of Alien Isolation gameplay.
Apparently this port of A:I is phenomenal.
Digital Foundry video breaking down Switch port of A:I
Thanks to @SonicHuman for constantly posting DF stuff. It finally got me to pay attention to their channel. It helped a lot during Black Friday since so many of my Switch purchases were “downgraded” ports of games like CTR, N.Sane Trilogy, and Spyro. Wanted to make sure they were worth it.
That Alien game came out like a year after PS4 was released, nearly 5 years ago or so. I’m not surprised at all that a recent port on Switch can be better graphically.
Went 1 and 4 against the red Lynel, and went on to free fish waifu’s spirit from Ganon!!
Wish there was storage system to save the Lynel, Guardian++, and Knight weapons & shields.
I don’t want to waste the good shit wiping out gutter trash!!
You’ll get more space. Eventually you will have enough inventory where you will be able to save your good shit for the enemies truly deserving of it. And mostly just be swapping out the weaker stuff. And like Foolinfection says you can get a house later that can store either 4-5 weapons…really only stored the super rare weapons in that house though for decorative purposed. I refused to use them since I knew I wouldn’t feel like going out of my way to reforge them.
Also important bit of info is that when the Bloodmoon happens EVERYTHING respawns. Yes even chests inside shrines with dope as fuck weapons in them. I rarely have to hunt for top tier gear because I just revisit chests with great gear in them when I need it.
