Thanks Nintendo for the “gift” of 300 platinum coins for my birthday.
In ths Hunt was released via Arcade Archives on the eShop on Thursday. My dad rented that game on the PS1 back in 1996 and I loved it. Gonna be next ACA purchase for sure.
I nearly forgot about Psyvariar Delta. Bought the game months ago but it still in my TV stand unopened. Good night to learn a new SHUMP.
Psyvariar is dope. Just remember that if you beat the game in like 6 stages then you didn’t beat the game. You unlock more stages to choose the higher you able to level up per play.
Guess it’s Fuck all the Poké-haters, sales has spoken.
For those who are illiterate, here a video
When will fan communities realize they are the loud minority.
I think the real fans has already spoken, with their wallets.
No one said that sword and shield wasn’t going to sell well. It being a record breaking seller for the switch is a surprise to literally no one. It was a foregone conclusion. A home console generational/core Pokémon game has been wanted by the fan base since Gen II was announced.
They’re not even “haters”. People were just very vocal about why they weren’t going to support it going forward. When they weren’t being ass holes about it almost all the points were valid reasons to someone.
Even then most the people who bitched about it didn’t even stick to their guns and bought it out of need to bitch about it despite them not realizing that Gamefreak still wins by doing that. Or just blind loyalty to the IP.
People are allowed to be upset about a drastic change in content, quality of gameplay of something they’ve enjoyed for decades.
It’s no different than people being salty about Star Wars and the direction it went with the sequel trilogy
I think “real fans” is a fucking stupid term. I understand what you are getting at, i just think it’s dumb.
@ReggieH Hey man, some homework for you. This was uploaded just yesterday. Perfect timing.
So, what is your point?
Sales say otherwise, that Pokemon is beating out Smash for Switch game sales.
And that vocal group is the minority. Most the people who are vocal about a product are the ones who are mad/upset, everyone who is happy and content is too busy playing the game to say anything.
Also what you mean going forwards, what ever the next Gen Pokemon game is called, they will just buy it like the rest.
I Sorta agree, but I can’t think of another term to use.
Are you really in a Fan community if all you do is hate the IP you follow?
Weird way to show support by voically bashing the thing you love.
Fans do that all the time.
I think those people are fans and love Pokemon but o do think there is trend towards being aggressively vocal as a way of getting What you want these days. A more “mature” form of tempted tantrum throwing. Every fanbase does this these days. I also think there is a click bait attitude towards a lot of the vocal detractors. There is money to be made in throwing a fit and making the way a few feel seem bigger then it is. There are a lot of videos in my YouTube feed about how Pokemon fans are super pissed and then I talk to the Pokefans i know in real life and they fluctuate from not really caring to mild annoyence. So there’s a good chance a lot of the so called hate is also extremely over blown by some people with big mouths.
Also as Stu pointed out these boycotts rarely work cuz even the people leading the boycotts almost always good and buy anyway if only to have more content to feed the YouTube Algorithm for clicks. It’s like a microcosm of the Star Wars issue right now. Have all these people claiming to be done woth Star Wars but those same people are talkin about The Mandalorian and will be there day 1 for Rise Skywalker of only because they need content for their channel that runs on a steady diet of faux outrage.
Being logically critical of decisions an IP you love isn’t hating it. It’s wanting it to do better or be better.
What was your point of even posting what you posted if it doesn’t matter?
Never said they weren’t.
And that’s fine. I’m not upset about people enjoying the game. I’m not some kid who’s jealous of a kid enjoying his new toy.
All of my friends who have the game have been talking to me about it and I haven’t said anything negative towards it to them despite how I feel about the changes. I’ve been asking questions and telling them what I do like about the games.
LOL
No, seriously you wanted to make a point over something that was implied but no one said it.
Where you going somewhere with it or you are just stating the obvious?
How bout we scroll up a bit, you were raging over the lack of save backups and you were angry about auto saves.
No idea what your reply is cause you’re actually on my ignore list and I don’t particularly care. So I’m just going to assume you’re doing what you’re always doing which is twisting words and being purposely antagonistic/trolling.
I’m going to keep loving Pokemon (because I actually really do). I’m just not going to support the core generational games. Thankfully there are tons of other ways I can still support Pokémon.
I’ll still read the manga cause it’s great. I can still play games whether they be previous generational, spin off or mobile. I can still play the card game and I still can buy random merch.
But I’m not going to support something they’re doing I don’t agree with.
Watching my GF play the game made me forget what the hate was for. The only issue I have seen is they hold your hand a ton in game but I know that the game is aimed at the audience far younger than me. In the grand scheme of life, I’ll never catch them all ever again and at most I trade with my GF and battle her now. If anyone doesn’t want to play because of whatever they took out that’s cool but I’m too old to care about every feature when I have more than enough games to play as is.
Seeing many coworkers play also got me back into the game.
I think we’ve gotten to the point where Pokémon could use difficulty modes. The absolute stomp you can do through game without trying is the biggest thing stopping me from buying.
Call it champion mode and all wild or trainer Pokémon have increased stats and levels. Just something.
A difficulty setting would be fucking awesome. Everyone’s like “just do nuzlocke challenges!” I was doing those before they even had an official name and it was fucking boooooring.
Didn’t they already cover Pokemon rumors not to long ago? I like this channel but they need to give Nintendo stuff a break.
The first video is part one of the rumors they posted a few weeks ago or a month ago. The second video was just posted today.
It’s funny because I’ve been a fan of Pokémon since the beginning and after watching both of those videos I’ve only heard of a very small handful of those rumors and leaks. I can count on one hand how many of those I knew about.
Ever since I discovered serebii I don’t really look at any poke spoilers because I don’t believe them unless serebii mentions them.
They had a difficulty mode in Black 2 and White 2. But Gamefreak took it out going forward for whatever reason. I know generation 5 gets flack over it’s Pokemon designs, but it really has the best games in the series. Main game and post game stuff were great.
Only games to rival it were Heart Gold/Soul Silver and Emerald.
