Game freak stated the cut roster was due to new animations/models. Well that turned out to be a bunch of bull cause all old pokes are just ported lol.
Yea who fucking cares? People buy COD every year and its the same shit over and over. No one really cares except people looking for shit to whine about.

Basically half of the people buying Pokémon games are age 18+. Saying it’s wholly aimed at kids is pretty false.
Also who cares about CoD, we ain’t talking bout that. There’s no way they should charge for a service to bring Pokémon to the newest title and axe it outta no where.
Lots of people care about COD.
It’s just PR blunder. People say the wrong shit all the time. Memes get made, people laugh, then move on.

Pretty irrelevant to the current convo. And if we want to get technical despite yearly releases each CoD is very different from the one before it.
They aren’t just the same thing over and over even if you dismiss it as such.
I came in to say I care about CoD and pkmn…but I view CoD as my pop in to play level once or get a challenge done then log out.

There’s a lot of valid reasons why Pokémon fans are mad or upset. Theres a lot of valid reasons why Pokémon fans are excited. It’s just that some of them go to such extremes to let other know they’re upset or excited it invalidates the reason(s) outside of the bubble of people who are acting the same.
When so much of the core fundamentals of Pokémon get stripped away for the sake of stuff they didn’t actually follow through on, people are going to be upset. Just like anything else.
Look at every iteration of SF, look at the current Star Wars fan base right now, look back at D&D 4.0 core book which almost killed D&D it was so universally hated. Certain sets/newly introduced mechanics in card games, So on and so forth. Doesn’t mean we hate xyz. Just means we don’t want to support what they’re doing at the moment. Which is fine.
Another example: look at how Konami is treating all of its IP’s right now. Does that mean we hate those IP’s? Naw. Just means we dislike how they’re being currently used.
I’m not getting it because what they’ve done doesn’t sit well with me and with What little that does interest me isn’t worth the price of admission. Doesn’t mean I hate Pokémon. It just means I no longer am willing to support the generational games of the series. Spin offs like Mystery Dungeon, Detective Pikachu, Rangers, Conquest? Stuff like the card game, manga. And movies? Hell yeah. But the core Generational games? Naw.

This is a fantastic example actually as fighting game fans love to declare a game doa then it turns out the game is generally fine and well done and all the histaria was not much more then histeria.

Sometimes. A lot of people dropped off after 4. Same with 5. Or after certain versions of each game. Some of them never even bothered trying it.
All the changes for Sword and Shield May end up fine or for the better or whatever. But a lot of people aren’t willing to pay $60 to find that out.
And a lot of people stuck with 4 even after V and stuck with 3 even after 4. A lot of peoplee dove in head first on both. A lot of people are more then willing to spend 60 bucks to find out and I would bet mad money the majority saying they won’t buy are full of shit and will be there day 1, if only to have something to whine about for views on their pooptoob channel.
Won’t be even slightly surprised if it turns out like Star Wars, tons of bitching moaning and crying and then record sales opening day.

100% agree with you on this. A lot of people like the shout morals and virtues or whatever when it comes to video games but very little people actually follow through.
Whatever gets them clickbait ducketts tho!
I even very reluctantly bought Sun and Moon when I said I wouldn’t but I traded it in within a week because of how much I hated it. I’m not going to do that with Sword and Shield.
The wrestling community is also full of people to contradict themselves saying they’ll never watch x wwe program again only to watch it next week so they can bitch about it.
Honestly it’s something every fan base does to some length.

Considering that Pokémon is the biggest franchise on the planet that is going undoubtably going to happen.
The core fundamentals is basically to catch and battle pokemon. It’s still there. Just like that one video.
