Wow, the original game finally getting a port. About fucking time.
We finally get to suffer like G did on the go.
Unboxed the Switch again and loaded up my 2x$10 eShop cards, then proceeded to buy DQ1&2 with the quickness. Don’t have enough eShop bucks for DQ3.
Niiiiice.
Final score from the eShop money I put on there:
Dragon Quest 1&2
Bastion
Transistor
All stellar choices.
8 bitdo has a decent track record so far, they are for many a budget option compared to pricey Switch pro controller.
Why does it have two dpads?
Cause we like double d’s
I wonder if they are taking the place of the analogs?
This makes absolutely no fucking sense.
There are two ways the double D pad design works.
The first and this the crazy… Virtual Boy Online, don’t know how they do the 3D but I would play Wario Land and Jack Bros.
The second and most logical, is some games, such as Smash, really don’t use the second stick in a way you can’t just use a pad so it isn’t that massive of a change.
Yuji Horii who has been the series game director of every main line DQ game thanks everyone who has supported DQ for over 30 years and how excited he is that everyone can now experience the Erdrick Trilogy on the Switch.
I legit hope these three titles sell like fucking crazy so they bring the Zenithia trilogy (IV, V, IV) to the console as well. Dragon Quest is my favorite game series of all time. I have so many amazing memories of it. I want it to succeed in every way imaginable.
finally pulled the trigger on my controller. Grabbed a 8BitDo SN30+ in G Classic form. Saved myself 10ish dollars from going to Walmart and grabbing a Pro Controller off the shelves and getting bodied by sales tax and having to stash it. Also, with this; I’m trying out the Amazon locker system since I’m over in Shreveport twice a week right now.
Picked up Dragon Quest I-III. I’ll nab DQXI S on payday. I played a little bit of the first game and died on my first enemy encounter because I forgot to equip anything! When I restarted, I equipped a weapon but no armor and died again. I love that we get the orchestral scores and don’t have to open a menu to use stairs anymore.
My nephew has been playing his own file on Link’s Awakening. He went to the desert and fought the knight and got that bombshell dropped on him. Needless to say, he is shook.
Yes. I love the older rpg and adventure games for nes. No real hand holding. Just trial & error and a sense of exploration and wonder.
Remember. Walmart has DQXI-S for $49.99 and Target along with Best Buy price match.
any opinions on the port that was done of Crash Team Racing? It’s on sale on the eShop and it’s one of the games the missus wants.
@Mikeohara Outside of MTX’s being snuck in after reviews gave it glowing praise and online being pretty cutthroat I haven’t heard a bad thing about any of the CTR ports.
