sheeeeitttt, hell yeah I’m double-dipping on Vampyr…ya goddamn right.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympics— it just still bugs me… one of those things where I know it’s odd to expect any kind of logic with those characters, but come on, man… it doesn’t seem a bit odd that you have a competitive racing event… with one character who by default is moving at the speed of sound or greater? …and that’s just baseline Sonic…we’re not even talking about if he were to go Super with the emeralds. Really, think of if you had a game with “DC/Marvel at the Olympics”. Do other heroes and villains REALLY stand a chance in track & field events against people like any of the Flashes or Quicksilver, Silver Surfer or Superman? We’re supposed to pretend that people like Batman or Spiderman (regular, not when he went Cosmic that one time) can even begin to keep up with THAT in a race and it’s fair? C’mon, bruh. Bring it into more grounded reality for a minute—say we have a race where ya got USAIN BOLT in the race against random people who are out of shape, old and/or obese. Oh gee I wonder who wins?
There honestly wasn’t a lot shown that I needed. It was a lot of “oh nice!”. Like Deadly Premonition, Ass Creed bundle, Jedi Outcast and some others. I was like “coo’ coo’”
I was super stoked about Town when they first announced it but once they showcased how combat and party members work. I’m now super hesitant about picking it up.
Luigi’s Mansion 3, Links Awakening, DQXI-S and Trails of Mana I have already planned for.
I’m planning for DxM as well but I want to wait on feedback on that one. They constantly put a heavy emphasis on online multi-player and if that’s the case I want nothing to do with it. Which is a shame cause it looks fucking great.
Everyone saw SNES coming to NSO. Nintendo knew if they didn’t add something big to NSO their subscriber base was going to plummet in about 2 weeks.
Tokyo Mirage Encore and Xenoblade Chronicles Port of a port of a port were the only new things I saw where I was like “I HAVE TO HAVE!”
It was an awesome direct regardless.
Oh, and the teapot Pokémon was adorable. Don’t even @ me on that shit
Didn’t take long for Nintendo to Nintendo. Overwatch “physical” copy doesn’t even come with a cartridge. It comes with a DLC code that is an all in one for the game, 3 months of NSO, 5 Legendary Skins, 5, Epic Skins, 5 Origin Skins and “more to be announced”
oh so you can’t even download those retro games? Ohhhhh get the hell outta here what is that nonsense? They had finally caught my attention in terms of the NSO service’s bonus by finally moving over to the SNES lineup of games…but that bit of info kinda pisses all over that parade. I’d rather they just re-release stuff on the eshop for a few bucks, and you could download and actually keep that shit like a normal game…though really, there’s still not much I’d be on the lookout for aside from Actraiser (still one of my favorite games of all time), Legend of the Mystical Ninja and maybe Zombies Ate My Neighbors. There was also Contra III but we have that base covered now via the Contra Collection.
If the snes games work like the NES ones then you have limited time to play them offline. As long as your Switch checks in online every so often then you can play them offline.
Not the first time but I am finding it disconcerting how many digital only titles and publishers moving away from from physical media to cut cost while still charging retail prices.
That being said, I am still too hyped for all that was announced. Divinity 2 why couldn’t you drop in January?
Tokyo Mirage Encore box art revealed via Nintendo’s twitter. @hawkingbird look at all your waifu’s and husbando’s!
I’m actually kinda stoked for this game. I passed it up when it came out on the Wii U. One of the few exclusives I passed up, actually. So to see it with likely new content and a new coat of paint of sorts is cool.
Is this basically a persona game(i never played SMT games) with FE character crossover with the theme set around idols? I kept thinking it’s a music game.
