The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Dragons Trap remake is fucking awesome, but it’s an old school metroidvania, more like Shantea then Metroid or CV tho.

I also like how Dragon Trap can switch between Old School and Modern Graphics on the fly, in mid game play.

Which color did you go with? I got the SNES looking one because I wanted the concave X and Y buttons. Otherwise I would have gone with the GameBoy version with the purple buttons.

GB version. I was thinking black but I got enough black controllers, lol.

I got several 8 Bitdo controllers, 2 for my SNES, the DIY pcb in a NES mini shell for my NES, there Genesis pad for my Mega SG, and i got that GC/Wii pro controller adapter I use with my Swtich (usually with a SNES Mini pad)

I’ve never heard of either of these games.

ha, I made a mii named “Crackbaby”…surprisingly that’s not a word that is auto-censored. It should really be “Bastard Crackbaby” but of course that’s over the 10-character limit. It’s a character I’ve made repeatedly in games with custom character modes since the WWF Warzone days.

ooh I should make a character that’s a drunk— maybe name him “Drunkazz” or “Drunkard”, “AA Meeting”, etc.
…ahahahah then I could put the “Drunk” mii character right into Mario Kart… maybe he could be named DUI or DWI…

Both of those games are cool. Vice Project Doom is a fantastic little platformer and Kung Fu Heroes is a 2 player brawler rpg with random battles. Pretty neat little experiement.

Finally finished my first run of Fire Emblem Three Houses. I know a game is good when I’m already thinking about my second play-through halfway through the first one. I guess there is a “hidden path” if you chose a certain house and make a certain pair of choices. I chose not to take it, but I’ll probably comeback around to it on play through four. There are some surprising things about certain characters. Also your character supports can determine who your party members end up with in their ending.

Ohhh yeah, DC Universe came out on Switch

My frustration with that game…it’s soooo close to being what I always wanted with a superhero game; I just never liked the fact that they made this an mmorpg…yeah I’m not a fan of that whole genre. Just give me a “normal” game that can be played offline OR online…don’t even care if it’s completely separate character/files so as to prevent the oh-so-terrible cheating people always point to when you talk about wanting offline play.( x1000…it’s called “don’t play with random people” guys. Console Diablo 3 cheaters never bothered me…because they aren’t in my game, dammit. I only played that game with friends. There was 1 dude that was a friend of a friend who had a godlike hacked/modded character but what the fuck ever, man…it still didn’t ruin our fun that day…I think people just blow that shit way out of proportion, making a mountain out of a mole hill.)

Man…I tried to get back into DC Online back in 2017.

But its just like what happened the first time, confusion on progression and lack of interest to having to grind X-O Bits or whatever to gain high level gear, plus having to pay out the ass for the extra content that came out.

I just wanted to do story, and build up my character. I hope they made some much needed QOL improvements to the game.

A lot of people are mad about the Switch port of DCO due to no cross play and the fact for whatever reason the monthly sub fee is higher on the switch than any other platform.

From a technical stand point it’s apparently a really, really good port.

They’re still doing the monthly fee!!

I believe so. That’s what I’ve been reading everywhere.

Yeah…I’m going to continue to keep away from DCO.
It sucks really as I had designed a cool Electric powered character…

@CDB2 So I was half right. If I am reading this correctly, anyways. There are two tiers for the game. Free to play and a membership fee which unlocks everything for you at the start.

heh, I had it on PS3 and then again on Xbox 360 or 1 (I actually forgot which one)… my main character was (of course) a super vampire dude with super speed. I had another character that was a shit-creature that could shapeshift…at first he could be a brown doggie or a gorilla

OK. my little man has finally got his rewards for being an overall excellent son and doing excellent at school. His haul:

Switch + 4 controllers
£30 nintendo store credit
Pokemon go
Minecraft
mario kart 8 deluxe
Mario + rabbids game
memory card

questions:
is 1-2 switch worth picking up?
Is monster hunter world on the switch?
can my son use his minecraft PC account on switch?

If can get 1-2 switch on a discount then yes. For the type of game it is it’s not worth a full $60. It should have been a pack in game like Wii Sports.

Monster Hunter World is not on the Switch. It has Generations Ultimate which is the most up to date version of Monster Hunter 4.

I think (key word, think) for the switch version of Minecraft, you have to purchase that separately.

I got minecraft back in its beta days when the game was only $10, and notch was doing it all by himself in his basemen.
