The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Are you fucking serious?

Yeah, I am serious.
There no actual thing as Netcode.

And whats a Netcode Bar?
I tell you what it is. Nothing, as there no such thing.

Ask a real Question, get a real answer.
Ask a dumb question and what ever you get you get.

If he asking about the Wifi strength bar, it shows up as a Wifi signal, with parts “grayed” out.
Its in between the battery and clock on the main menu screen.
The More that appears Full (Black if you use the Light Theme, and the reverse for the Dark theme) “shows” your Wifi strength.

If you serious about online, get a USB to Ethernet adapter and don’t rely on Wifi.

You know what he meant. Try giving it an actual answer.

Ok, whoever designed the Peach challenge in Adventure mode is a sadistic piece of shit, man…and I wouldn’t mind watching such a person get punched as hard as possible in the face at least once. This particular fight is loaded with horseshit, and you basically need to just be lucky to win.

Peach challange?

ah, I see someone else complaining about this bullshit on reddit outlined it pretty well…I’ll just quote him real quick:

  • Opponent team has very high team power (more than 13k iirc)
  • Stage is 75mm (not BF/FD, hazards off but the ladders are still there–this is the “Donkey Kong Arcade Game” stage, so there is also the hazard of there being no ground…oh and your jumps can also be interrupted by being stuck on the ladders.)
  • Defeat main opponent (Peach) to win, but she keeps on running away, and you spawn on totally opposite sides of the stage.
  • Opponent [Peach] has two allies: A Mario who starts with a hammer, and a Giant Donkey Kong. [note–these 2 are extremely aggressive, btw… they will rush you down all day long and with perfect teamwork while Peach constantly avoids you.]
  • Your jumping is reduced.
  • Timed battle: Only 1min 30sec!

Also, there’s plenty of stop watches for the cpu to pick up as well, so you’ll be slowed way down while they can move in normal speed. Some people beat this only because Peach’s dumbass fell off a ledge on her own at some point.

EDIT—aha! I found the cheese though. Get anything that lets you start off with a staff and just shoot the bitch. (this item does more damage the further away you are…since she starts on the opposite end of the stage it’s perfect…she will naturally jump to another spot after the first hit though…and if Mario and DK show up then it’s Game Over for real…you cannot fight those 2 while chasing her all over the damn place…at least not in that extremely short period of time… so this still make take a few tries) On the 3rd hit she was dead. Cheapness prevails.

Ah, Million is talking about the Pauline Spirit fight. That fight is tough for all the reasons he listed but using a Spirit that equips you with the Staff helps a lot. I managed to beat that fight with on a handful of tries with Mega Man and some Stop Watch assistance.

Other insane Spirit battles include Dr. Wily 8 Metal Mega Men and 1 Dr. Mario and the Geno fight. Even with a solid spirit team, it is still very possible to get your cheeks clapped hard in the Geno fight.

Ahh…the Pauline fight. That was bullshit.

Just a bit over an hour away. Even though I have no intentions of get SMM2 I’m still excited to see what kind of shenanigans and mechanics they’re going to introduce in the sequel.

I pretty much hate Let’s Play channels but at the height of SMM popularity: SMM Let’s plays were pretty much all I watched lol. I loooooved seeing how creative and fucked up people could get with their level designs

The SGDQ Mario Maker Team Speed Run in 2016 was one of the craziest and hypest things I’ve ever watched.

@chadouken did you ever watch this?

Wow whoever made those levels in that speed run video has some skills.

No, I never caught that one, but I’ve seen a lot of others. Ryukahr is my favorite, but I also like Grand POOBear, Paco, Oshikorosu, and Roknin from SRK had some good content of himself playing our levels.

SMM2 Direct is now live! Go go go!

Me after seeing all the new features Super Mario Maker 2 has and imagining all the evil hard courses I can design.

Mario Maker 2!!! haha, mannnnnn I look forward to what kind of absolutely sinister shit the fanbase can cook up, man…

Smash Ultimate Update—ok, that fight with the multiple Megamen + Dr. Mario (another “Legendary” spirit battle) showing laater was another rough one but I eventually got by using a setup that healed me on occasion once reaching critical damage…I added even more to this with another spirit that heals me each time I KO an enemy, so it helped me simply “last” through that hellish battle.

Your character eventually gets SO damn overpowered it’s just silly… I’ve forgotten at this point about all the various skill-upgrades I have going on now…stuff like “easier dodging”, bonus attack power once I’m critically damaged, etc. etc…this is on top of my usually having that Ganon Legendary spirit equipped which has ridiculous attack power… + more attack bonuses in the other spirits I equip… I often go for those ones that start you off damaged already but with boosted power as the trade-off. I realize those things actually stack too…now imagine all this power in the hands of GANONDORF, man…BRUHhhhhhh all this damage is just disgusting. There was one character I remember just running into and it actually broke his shield.

Consider this my “my interest is piqued in a Nintendo Switch” post.

Of course, knowing my history with Nintendo consoles and handhelds; this will only last a short amount of time.

It’s not just a handheld, yo. I mostly play mine docked and on the big screen.
