How is never deleted anything micromanaging memory?
And how is buying a 400gb card when you clearly stated you don’t need 256gb a smart move?

Better read speed?
Better price point?
Future-Proofing?
I snagged a great card, last BF, just because it was there, and obscenely cheap.
Also its never a good idea to get your memory card (hard drive or what ever) get completely full.
You want about 30% to remain empty for normal operations. After you have less than 10% space left your read times usually start to take a hit (Its really noticeable on a PC hard drive).
So for example you got a 128gb card with 101 gb of the card full, its getting close to that time to look for a replacement/ upgrade or you start considering deleting files.
Planned on buying Cuphead today, but I’m holding out again as I want to finish Monster Boy and Megaman 11 before I spend more money. I’rd hard but it must happen.
Now Katana Zero is starting to sound cool as well. That’s on the list.
Not to mention I bought Octopath Traveler and still haven’t started THAT. Not gonna finish that before buying Cuphead, a second time.
Really liked the Boxboy + Boxgirl demo as well. That’s another purchase.
June isn’t that far off…
The stage builder has way more potential than I thought
Monster Boy update:
Volcano music is just…magnifique! I think I’m stuck in a spot and need to teleport back…or not. There’s a weird emblem and moving blocks so I’m going to see if anything happens. Wouldn’t mind doing some exploring since I still have a sewer key for a door in that section. Think I’m halfway through, since I have two more transformations to go according to the icons, and the box.
Yeah the music in general and sound and everything is fantastic in that game. I don’t remember exactly what part you are stuck at or else I’d try to help out.
Yeah, I imported it for that reason. In Europe X-2 is a single-use download key, it’s not even a download that’s linked to the cartridge. So basically once you redeem that code you have a game that says FFX/X-2 on the card but is basically just FFX. Really questionable business practices.
Various companies have done that bullshit this current generation. From Capcom getting small carts on Switch which requires a download to get the other half of a promised game to companies that have mandatory day one patches without which a disc is useless to actually play. They use it to save on costs and as a way to combat resale.
The advent of patches and download able updates is both a good tool to fix games and a tool for treacherous publishing practices.
Yeah, but if the extra data is handled as an update and automatically downloaded after verifying the disc/cart you can at least lend someone the game or sell it. I don’t like it but the game at least keeps its ‘worth’, for as long as the servers are online that is.
You can’t do that if the extra data is unlocked with a download key, which are single-use and account-bound.
I do try to avoid both cases though. Which also has the positive side effect of filtering out some games because there’s too much to play out there anyway.
My copy hasn’t arrived yet but I imported it from Play Asia as well.
It’s the part where you come across the archeologist again and have to hit gongs that destroyed parts of a painting he is trying to decipher, that leads to a bottom path. I figured it out. I went and did other paths and came back to the one I was stuck on, only to realize I had to turn into the snake to progress. >_<
It did make it easy when I returned to it, since I acquired the Ice Boots that turn lava into hard surfaces. Just have one more gong to hit but I can’t find the way to get to it…yet.
I do like the puzzles in this stage and heard about this section kicking people’s asses though.
Yeah I remember feeling stuck on that area a few times. It’s long and some things I thought I could do early on but it ended up being I didn’t have the equipment for it.
The only thing I looked up online to do was the cork. And I am glad I did because there’s no way I ever would have figured it out, and I have no clue how anyone could ahve figured it out.
That’s funny because I just went back to Lupia, and saw the cork. I’m guessing I have to find a path in one of the near levels to do it? Maybe, most likely, I don’t have an ability I need.
Used the key for the sewer. It gave me access to a room that had a truffle that let’s me hold more bombs.
Back in the Volcano now. Trying to figure out the last gong. When I went back to Lupia, everyone talked about me needing to go to the Volcano. Back to searching I go.
I won’t spoil anything about the cork but I’m 99.999999% confident you won’t figure it out yourself, because it’s virtually impossible to.
I 100% that game and that was the only thing I had to look up.
Oh damn. It’ll probably be the one time I don’t overthink something, that I probably should have.
I think I know where I need to go in the Volcano because it was the one room I couldn’t do, and the only one with a lever I haven’t done. It’s a moving block activated by lighting. It’s the only one left. I’m pretty sure it leads me to the door that leads me to the gong.
No trust me, when you look up how to get in the cork you are going to say “HOW THE FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO FIGURE THAT OUT?”
I 100000% guarantee it.
Ultimate has the first stage builder in the series that I’ve really went into with crazy enthusiasim and this is largely due to the greater options it gives over previous entries and seeing some of the stuff people have come up with. Someone made Whomp’s Fortress from Super Mario 64 and that is right up there with the Bob-Omb Battlefield stage that was uploaded. There’s also a really cool Sonic 1 logo complete with index finger wagging.
Seeing all these cool stage designs have gotten the gears turning for me and I’ve already begun working on two stages. I just need a few days off to really work on them. I wouldn’t say Stage Builder is quite as in depth as Super Mario Maker, but Sakurai and company have given us much to play around with.
Finished the Volcano. I waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over thought the last part I needed. Like WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over thought it. Boss fight was awesome though, and the section after was ace as well!
I’ve been playing a couple of old games on Switch.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition - I can’t believe I’ve ignored this series for as long as I have. I’ve looked at it before and thought I would enjoy it as it’s basically a mix of Zelda and Prince of Persia (also reminds me of Legacy of Kain fairy often) but I never knew I would get into it as much as I am right now. I seriously like this game and the Switch port seems pretty solid.
Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD - I played this game 3 or 4 times back on the PS2. I picked up the PS3 HD release but sadly never got around to touching it. The Switch version caught my attention, however. Being able to play this hybrid was too tempting. There’s also the fact that I love the Pro Controller. Going from the PS2 version to this is a shocking difference. From what I’ve seen, it looks pretty much identical to the PS4 version. It’s a shame they didn’t make use of the HD rumble or add anything other than touchscreen healing between battles, but it’s fine.
