The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

I’ve seen the Japanese version listed in Amazon a while back. Nice to know an English version is coming. I love me some art books. I picked up the Breath of the Wild art book about a month ago. That thing could choke a zebra.

Linited edition physical copy of skullgirls is up for preorder. Comes bundled with OST and a special edition controller skin.

Been messing with Devil Engine and honestly…im not liking it a whole lot. It doesn’t feel very unique or creative, which is fine it just means it needs to nail what it does do…but I don’t think it does. Its very pretty and legit feels like a lost 16/32 bit shmup which is really cool as I feel a lot of nostalgia Indies miss the mark on this one. The problem is that game is just fucking mean. I’d almost argue it’s mean spirited even. I believe it’s important for devs to kinda be assholes and present you with asshole situations, but this game takes it waaaay too far. Like the game only has two diff settings Very Easy and Very Hard but Very Easy is still holy shit balls hard and still mocks you at every turn. Its just not very fun and it’s so fucking hard even on its so called easy setting that I don’t see many people really pushing forward to do well. Even the score system is just ok so that’s not much incentive to keep improving either.

Honestly all of this games hype is from how pretty it looks and sounds and that’s hella disappointing to me. This game is really just an art peice instead of a game.

I honestly can only really recommend this to people who find sexual gratification from being kicked in the testicles.

My initial impressions were similar but it does have a great learning curve. I can make it to stage 4 (I think? The ocean) without losing a life now. On ‘very easy’ of course. The first time I played it I was glad if I even beat the first stage.

It’s not a modern classic for sure though but I like it nonetheless. Not lying that the visuals are definitely helping though.

Nintendo needs to slow this down…my wallet can only take so many hits. I have 5 games preordered and cuphead makes it six

On the plus side you should get a lot of mileage out of their star point system.

I’ve definitely been able to get the occasional game for free already.

Yea those gold coins in the Nintendo Eshop are fucking dope.

Personal gripe but it’s really stupid you can’t store more than one card on your eshop account.

Like yeah, you can link your PayPal but like…it’s still fucking stupid to me.

I buy the pre-loaded Nintendo cards. I do that for all digital purchases, I do t trust any of these fools be it Nintendo, Sony, MS, or damn Amazon. Fuck putting my card on any of their services lol.

I’ve beem a member of amazon since 2007 and have had never had an issue. Wasn’t effected by the sony hacks, I’ve never had my PayPal compromised etc…so I’ve never had an issue with putting my card online when it comes to a digital store. I’d much rather buy online than go to a physical store to get anything.

Yea that’s cool. I’m not interested in playing with fire with my money. Have fun tho.

I mean. I get the reasoning of not wanting to put your info out here. It does come with an inherent risk. So I’m not disagreeing with your reasoning or saying you’re silly to think that way.

My dad refuses to buy anything online. He thinks it’s ridiculous (and unsafe). He also gawks at the fact I can pay with my phone and watch as well.

He always harps on me about never carry actual cash on me and I rely too much on plastic, technology and online. He’s very technophobic. Btw that’s not me clumping you together. Just elaborating. But :woman_shrugging:t3: Whatever. I’ll embrace our robot overlords when the time comes.

I mean, you think those companies could get hacked and get your info? When has that ever happened?

Yes. Everyone can be hacked.

I dunno and I don’t care.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic about that time in 2011 PSN got hacked and 77 million accounts got compromised, lol. I think if we were in person that would have been clearer.

I always pay with credit card on the eShop but I haven’t saved the card. I don’t know if that makes a huge difference in terms of security but at least my info is only available for the duration of a purchase and not saved on their server all the time. But generelly speaking I’m not too worried about that stuff.

I buy eShop codes from Amazon. No console is getting my card info.
