Link’s Awakening coming back? Personally I was hoping it would get a 3D remake but this looks great still and It’s one game I replay once a year as it’s my 1st and favorite in the series.
the hard part about stealing the items was being called a THIEF for the rest of the game but in the DX ver, how else can you get all the pictures and 100% the game otherwise?
Super Mario Maker 2 got annoned and the custom options look insanely huge!

Back when Pokémon Gold and Silver came out i reaaaaally wanted Pokémon Silver but my parents said only if I got good grades on my report card that semester. Literally the only time I’ve ever gotten straight A’s on a report card.
So after I showed my mom my report card we went to K-Mart (remember those?) and my mom let me get Gold AND Silver. Well, as the lady working in electronics was closing the case I spotted Zelda. My birthday was coming up soon, so quick on his feet 10 year old Stuart asked if I could have a birthday present early. My mom looked at me and was like “really? You’re already getting two games” I told her “yeah. But those are for good grades. This one is to celebrate my birth. Which is important too, right?” She sighed, laughed, called me a pushy but smart little shit and asked me what game it was I wanted. I told the lady in electronics I wanted Zelda.
Although I played through gold and silver first (since at the time they were the ones I “wanted” more) once I put that Links Awakening DX cartridge in my neon green game boy color it was fucking over. I took my months to beat that game because I’d keep getting lost, or stuck on bosses or forget where I was progress wise. But I couldn’t fucking put it down and I absolutely fell in love with that game. It wasn’t my first Zelda but it was the first Zelda I ever beat. I loved the style, the colors (what little there were), all the dungeons, the weapons, the story. Everything.
It’s still my favorite Zelda. The only thing that comes close to rivaling it is wind waker.

Real talk, we need an Adventure of Link remake. Yes, the game was radically different from the first but it gave us Link’s Down Smash and a ton of other stuff. It was hard but the first game was no cake walk especially after dungeon 4. And being honest, the first LOZ has its flaws. Beating that game without a guide is dang near impossible due to so much cryptic BS. Would be awesome for Nintendo to release the og LOZ along with Adventure of Link in one package.

Looking at the eshop and looked up ff9. That game came out in fucking 2000. It does not feel that long ago. I was 14.

Edit: ended up picking up ff9 for Over 50% off thanks to all my gold coins I had accumulated.
I am a slave to square. I’ve bought ff9 on every platform it’s been released on. It’s just so good. My favorite ff.
Out of curiousity I also looked up how much Chocobo Mystery Dungeon: EVERY BUDDY was going to be because it was up for prepurchase. $39.99
Fuck that. I can’t justify a digital purchase that expensive. Hopefully it’s get a store exclusive physical release because no way I’m paying that fucking much
Outside of like…Dungeon 9 i dont think you need a guide for Zelda 1 at all, and even dungeon 9 can be solved with just drawing a map. Its not even that cryptic.

How are the load and battle transition times?
Haven’t played it yet. It’s still DL’ing. Apparently according to reddit there is an audio glitch that carried over from the PS4 to the switch version. Has to do with the over world music constantly resetting after battle. Or something like that.

I can live with a patchable glitch.
But I really want sped up trasitions and battles.
9 is pretty much GoAT material, right up there with 6 & 4 (and Tactics: TWotL, if you count it).
The only thing that bumps it down a notch to second tier, next to 5, is the long loading.
Well it was never patched out of the PS4 version so I doubt it’ll be patched out in the Switch version. Though: nintentards are notoriously whiney, self entitled babies. So if they bitch enough Square might patch it.

My only issue with 9 is the battle speed. The loading isnt so bad, imo, but the actual battle speed is snail snow until you get Haste then they move at normal speed -.-
Would like them to fix that but they never will so shrug
Battle Speed never bothered me. Though I can see why it would bother people. I just never cared enough about that.
I just wish it moved a bit faster, it drags battles out longer then they really need to be. This became really noticable to me when i played it on PSP and battery life was a premium. You start getting irritated at all the time you spend draining battery waiting for silly bars to fill while you twiddle your thumbs. Its just a lot of dead air time is all.
I could see that becoming a complaint with the Switch version, that battery has only like 3 to 4 hours of life in it before its dead.
Play the Yoshi’s Crafted World demo. Super charming. If the game is doing that much creativity with just the first level, I cannot wait to see the rest of the game.
