D3 and Smash—the addiction to both games right now is too strong for me… I had to go back to the world of D3 a little while ago and get some more rifts and Greater Rifts in… forgot I left it “open to public” and a random barbarian player showed up…seemed to be of similar power level paragon-wise… ohhhh it was surprisingly good times. This time the online connection was actually smooth for a change. A 3rd dude joined…then a 4th…all of us have paragons in the low hundreds…highest one was 560-something if I recall. We went into a 46 or 47 GR and of course steamrolled that shit. They kept going but unfortunately I ran out of GR keys…I’ll have to stock up on a lot of those next time…good thing you can get multiple GR keys from each rift guardian now, depending on how high the difficulty is—I don’t think it was always the case.
(**oh and will ya look at there, pc fans— multiplayer sessions on console —and not one of us appeared to be a cheater.)
I want to try the Tal/Vyr’s build with a manald ring, but that shit won’t show up in my game for anything…I guess the drop rate on it is a bit out there…like Ramaladni’s Gift… now at about 80 hours played…seasonal paragon lv. 360…I have seen the Rama Gift exactly ONCE.
*sidenote—I hooked up the Switch to the tv for the first time in many months yesterday…to see how Smash looks on the big screen, and to play that way relaxed on the couch. haha, this is only the 3rd time I’ve ever played Switch docked.
Here is an extensive review of it. Spawnwave does a lot of hardware reviews. He’s pretty thorough. Spawnwave actually takes things apart, so you’ll get a good idea of the build quality as well. It seems to be a good buy based on his review. You can use it for any games the Pro controller works for. They added the additional buttons the standard GC controller is missing.

How to unlock characters “faster”
For those who are in a hurry
Any of you guys have a battery pack for the Switch for being on the go? I’m looking at snagging this one but wondering if anyone has any others that they like that may be better/cheaper. I like that this one integrates to the back, but then I also saw a larger capacity one for less but I’m not sure if it comes with a cable or not.

Yea, you can just plug it in. I use the USB cable that came bundled with the pro controller since you need a USB type C to charge the Switch.
Oh so the one that comes with it is just a normal USB cable? The thing I like about the one I linked to is the cable is short and just fits kinda perfectly. The cable that came with the pro controller is pretty damn long. I’m only going to be using this while on an airplane and in handheld mode. Maybe I can find a short USB -> USB C cable though too.
I reaaaaally don’t want to play smash over my 3 days just to unlock everyone. I wish I had a friend or someone to do it for me. It’d be much easier.
Why? Why did they make only the original 8 characters available at start when the cast is over 70 characters. Fucking, Sakurai.

Yeah, it comes with a standard micro USB. You can pickup a short USB to type c cable or an adapter for cheap. Around $8.

I hate how difficult the unlock battles can be. Why the unlockables have MK boss AI?

I haven’t even opened my copy of smash yet. Probably will tomorrow since I have the next three days off work. But yeah, I’ve read the AI scaling is a little ridiculous.
Spirit Adventure mode is not that hard, hardest thing was Luigi with the hammer

World of Light is the slowest method for unlocking. I stopped playing it after I realized that. Stuck with classic mode and restarting the game.

It ain’t that bad, easy way to do it according to the Gamexplain vid is just choose one stock battles suicide and after an fight or two you get the challenge notice, beat the character and close out. Open it up and repeat to get most of them. You can also play the other modes to do it which is what I am doing. It ain’t quick and it seems to work, sadly using Amiibo in matches against the computer doesn’t.
