The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

King K. Rool’s down smash has super armor. That thing is like a GTFO w/that noise button to so many attacks (counters, grabs, dash attacks) it isn’t even funny.

Yeah, it’s probably gonna get nerfed.

I love unlocking stuff, just not characters in fighters.

Thankfully Smash isn’t a fighter :sunglasses:

Got my copy sitting in my work bag with my switch and I don’t have the time I’d like to to play it…but soon…

This is the earliest I’ve been home from work in a month (I’ve actually been off for about two hours) but I just can’t bring myself to play smash. Maybe when I actually have days off I’ll do the grind and unlock everyone (ugh)

Who knows

I hope he comes with Tripping.

And maybe a Spectrum Special.

And takes double damage against females.

Quad against Bayo.

These Castlevania songs and remixes are absolutely fantastic! Loving the music catalogue in Smash.

Tell me about it. I need more gold to get the songs the keep popping up in the shop. Almost the entire Street Fighter II soundtrack is in this game!

I’m finding that some character battles for unlocks are easier while others can be quite challenging. It took me three attempts to get Lucina. God bless King K. Rool’s broken down smash.

@ReggieH Apparently players have been reporting the difficulty scales when unlocking characters based on how long you’ve played. I don’t know if that’s accurate or not but it would make sense.

A lot of my friends who bought the game have been bitching about the AI, so has Twitter. They may be right or they may be scrublords. I don’t know, but it would make the most sense if the game had difficulty scaling.

I found playing classic mode helped me unlock characters faster than the other modes. Just six battles, unlocked character battle guaranteed by the end of it, you stack activity to unlock others if you play another mode.

I tried classic mode with Ryu and every fight used a SF2 song. Gonna try with some more characters and see how the music plays out.

Tbh this game is pretty mindblowing with all the fanservice they stuffed in.

Some characters have unique final bosses in classic mode. Demon king Ganon was Link’s final boss. Master and crazy hand tag team for incineroar

sheeeeit, in an era where some game companies are doing things as half-ass as possible, and trying to squeeze every possible penny out of the consumer…or producing 1 broken mess after another and calling it a day *coughbethesda… the people that brought us Smash Bros. loaded it the hell up once again with all this…there is so much good stuff in here. Just scratching the surface here and it’s already well worth every cent of the price.

on eshop’s “Best Sellers” page it’s no surprised Smash has the top spot…it’s probably going to be that way for quite a while.

I’m playing classic mode with Ryu right now. I love how it plays as much as a traditional 2D fighter. Health is set to armor, all stages are the final destination variant and which SF2 theme is tied to who I’m fighting. Samus got Chun music, green DK got blanka music, incineroar got gief music. This is great

Yoooo Rathalos is in the game lol.

Also, did Smash take a page out of Nier with the end credits? 2B dlc confirmed?

Fuck I was just about to unlock K. Rool but I jumped off the god damned map and died. How do I get him to appear again?

Just play as normal and you’ll get a notification letting you know he wants to fight you again. Unlock characters who beat you have a higher chance of reappearing.

Yeah my first run on Classic with Kirby ended with a certain boss from that series that appears often and is not Dark Matter variant. While Samus just got Master Hand.

So far so good. Got Ness and a few others.

Well, I am hoping it’s possible to get all these unlockables with 1 character you’re good/comfortable with (I’m assuming?), this has become frustrating already… every damn time something happens and I lose…or it goes into “Mortal Kombat AI Mode” where the bitch is GOD and just instantly counters anything and everything you do perfectly, no matter what. So far it seems like Fox is an easier character to play out of the starting lineup so I may just focus on playing as him all the time. I have a few unlocked but Fox seems like the best/easiest out of the crew I have so far.
