The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

My Switch revision wishlist

  • more screen and less bazel
  • a resolution bump in portable mode. If it do at least 900p that would be sweet
  • a dpad on the left joy-con.
  • the type-c port actually functioning as it should and not be a USB 2 port with a type c connector.

@milion PS4 and Xbone both have custom sound track features. The Ones works like it did on the 360, plays right off the hard drive.

Microsoft own a patent on doing music like that in a console (How you can patent this I don’t even know) so on PS4 you just need to load music onto a thumb drive and plug it into the machine and play music that way.

I think the Switch should have the stand the Microsoft surfaces have, where a stand the width of the tablet flips out and supports the whole thing instead of a cheap flimsy little arm that seems ready to snap off if you breath on it too hard.

I would just like it to actually be able to play already released games like Xenoblade 2 at a functionally competent level, in handheld mode.

For those that missed it and might want it: GameStop has Solaire of Astora amiibo back in stock

It will likely sell out very fast

While this is a cute commercial they fail to mention of the 1000 games they have maybe 30 of them aren’t shovel ware or shitty Indy games.

So like every other platform?

Yeah but unlike other platforms Nintendo actually boasts about the size of their library since they’ve always had the stigma of not playing well with others (see: lack of 3rd party support). They want to show people that they are capable of working with smaller studios (see: calling major indie releases on the Switch “Nindies”) and working with 3rd Party Studios (blizzard and Bethesda)

I literally just said the exact same thing to my girlfriend yesterday, when the commercial came on during Gumball.

Okay, I said “20-25” games.

But I was deliberately not counting remakes.

Yea…which is what that video shows. Whether you like those games or not is completely irrelevant. Nintendo Brags about new Kirby games all the time and i think they are fucking dog shit garbage for toddlers, but they attract people like you so i keep my trap shut 99% of the time.

If you’re not counting remakes and Wii U ports the number of games is even less. Lol. Granted, all the remakes and ports have been well deserved and much needed but they’re still remakes and ports, you know?

I bought my Wii U just before Xenoblade X released, with full knowledge that it was going to be a Ninty only ecosystem.

3D World was enough reason to buy in.

Everything else was gravy.

I’ve no qualms buying into the Switch for Octopath.

I am looking to snag the Kart bundle, at the local branch of your store, come Black Friday.

I don’t even remember why I bought the Wii U. I think out of blind fan boyism. Yeah, that’s probably it. I don’t regret it though. I don’t buy Nintendo consoles for 3rd Party games or flavor of the month indies. I buy them for Nintendo Titles so I was content with my Wii U. It gave me Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD, Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors (Easily one of my favorite nintendo titles ever), mario 3d world was phenomenal, xbcx, tropical freeze, mario kart 8 and tons of others. For first party titles it was a power house. it just lacked in everything else and was a bitch to design games for which is one of the many (many) reasons it failed.

Full Disclosure: I sold my Wii U to a coworker for MSRP because he wanted to play BotW but didn’t want to buy a Switch (which confused the fuck out of me but whatever). I was sad to see it go but I was happy with getting what I paid for out of it. I sold the rest of the games and accessories on eBay and Facebook Market place.

Hehe didnt really mean it like that.

I sold mine to Ghey!Stahp! because it was a centerpoint of the last year I had with my little brother, and our time together, and that is forever imprinted on it for me.

It sat in a suitcase, unpacked, for about a year.

I finally took it out, looked at it, realized I couldn’t, and traded it in.

It was him and me, or not at all.

I’ll get a Switch for me.

I know he’d have loved it too, but it will be a step removed, and I can enjoy it for the two of us.

Thats how i feel about RE4 sometimes, I beat that with my brother when it came out and when i play it now it always feels like something…or more accurately, someone is missing.

For any one who has been waiting on buying a switch or certain games for said Switch here is a list of all the Black Friday sales for system bundles, games and accessories

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes gets confirmed physical releases for the US and Europe. Game also comes bundled with season pass

Thought that was already confirmed last week? Still on the fence about it. I’m sure there’ll be something about it that makes people take notice if it , that they also didn’t wish it was spoiled.

That’ll probably be my reason to but in. I’ll still have GCU, so that’s probably my other excuse.

So Nintendo of Russia’s CEO goes on a tirade on a live stream. Flashing lights warning

Dragon Ball FighterZ is on Switch?

Like, identical to the PS4 one?

I don’t know if it’s exact port, that seems not doable but I havent heard any bad things about dbfz on the switch. Though I haven’t heard any good things about it either.
