Picked up my copy of Kirby: Star Allies and about to give it a play. It even has cute insert art when you open up the case.

I bought Gunbird and Zero Gunner 2- a few weeks ago. Both are pretty good SHMUPs though Gunbird has some really short levels.

My copy of star allies was delivered today by amazon but I’m at work. :frowning: I’ll probably play a bit of it tonight or give it my full attention on my 3 day weekend coming up.

I got my copy of Kirby. I’m gonna enjoy co-oping with my nephew.

I’m on World 2 of Star Allies. Move over, Naruto. Kirby’s Friendship no Jutsu is infinitely superior to yours. Nartuo has to have a fight with someone, talk it out and then become friends. Kirby just throws hearts at his enemies and instant friendship.

Oh and combo powers are so much fun.

Nephew and I got it to world 2. He loves the game just as much as the 3DS games.

A good number of games for Switch, but I’m holding out till 2019 for a Switch mini. The current model is just a little too big to fit in my pocket which is a deal breaker for me. What do you guys think the likelihood that there will be a smaller Switch is?

Seeing at the switch is going to have a life span of 6-8 years (according to Nintendo) and how they next to never release updates to their home consoles (I barely count the Wii Mini because it came out at the end of the Wii’s life cycle) I say the chances are next to none.

You need bigger pockets, lol

I have a carrying case for it. I have enough things in my pockets.

Most people myself included look at Switch as a handheld, yes it’s technically a home console that happens to be portable and that’s how it’s been marketed, but really when you boil down to it, it’s seen as both the successor to 3DS and Wii U equally. We all know Nintendo’s track record on revisions of their handhelds, and if Nintendo is going with this consolidated business model as they’ve talked about then we probably won’t see a 3DS successor and instead will see 38473284239423 revisions of the Switch down the road.

And if you can fit Switch joycons included in a single pocket you’re either very tall or wear baggy ass pants lol, I can fit the N3DS XL in my jeans pocket barely and Switch is bigger than that. For some it may be a trivial thing, but for me Switch not being pocket friendly is a deal breaker, and no way in hell am I going around carrying an extra bag just for a Switch, that’s just a little too much of a hassle for what is supposed to be a convenience.

I’ll continue holding out for a Switch mini and even if it’s announced, depending on it’s design I might opt to buy the original Switch who knows, but for now as much as I want a Switch I don’t need it.

I consider it to be both. I think you’d like it Zoo.

yeah, it can only really fit in baggy pants…but the pros outweigh the cons by a lot, imo… it has a great lineup just from the first year (including my precious, wonderful Bayonetta). At least for me, it can fit in jacket pockets, though of course the weather is getting warmer so it rules that out. I still take it with me everywhere though… the case I got was very cheap…somewhere between 10 and 15 bucks if I recall.

sheeeeit, towards the end of the day there was nothing to do at work (for a change) so there I was playing Bayonetta 2 right there, saving new clips of me beating up angels and demons in new stylish ways. I can’t get over how awesome a luxury it is to play something like that (my favorite action franchise of all time) anywhere. There’s been times where I didn’t actually eat lunch at work…just so I could spend every bit of that lunch hour playing Switch.

*DUDE Rodin is so goddamn badass in this game, I had forgotten… giant summoned demon fist flying through the scene and he just casually stopped it with one hand… hopefully he’s playable by default in part 3, man…

And yet for some a “switch Mini” is losing that same convince by going smaller.
I can play on my Switch at my lunch break at work, then take that same device and play it on my Big Screen.
Or I can take that same existing system, pop out the stick stand and play local head to head in the park.

Actually I think there is a really good chance but not in the near future. A smaller version is unlikely unless there is a strong push from the Japanese audience or certain develop for such a model and Nintendo has found a way to make such a model on the cheap without needing to heavily adjust current specs so games can play on par or slightly better then the current version.

If you want to wait some years for that it is up to you but it isn’t likely around the corner unless the Switch suddenly stops selling as well or major feedback demanding it.

So I’m like 30 minutes into Star Allies and like Planet Robobot and Epic Yarn before it this game oozes charm. As soon as I befriended a Poppy Brother Jr. I was hooked. It’s so cool having a party of 4 players. (Though it is annoying when they attack something you’re trying to throw a friend heart at or when you want to get a copy ability but that’s a very minor complaint)

I’m enjoying a 3 day weekend right now and plan on beating it by the time my weekend is over (though that shouldn’t be such a daunting task; I heard this game is only about 6-8 hours)

I just wish I had people to co-op with. It would be chaos. Unbelievably fun chaos.

135 + sth hours in xenoblade 2 and Im just now @ chapter 8
like wow this game keeps going
I hope I will beat this game in like 3 days before ni no kuni 2 comes out lol

Nindies show case was super disappointing. Nothing looked interesting except for the bullet hell/rhythm game I can’t evem remember the name of. I was hoping for shovel knight dlc update, or something. But no. Just disappointment.

Still playing Star Allies. On world 4 right now. This game is so much fun.
