The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Has there been any PC drivers to use the pro controller on PC?

I need to look into this.

I found this

You will need a Bluetooth receiver, don’t try to use USB

I bought my Switch back in November and picked up BotW, SM:O and XBC2 (Collector’s Ed). Not since Skyrim have I logged so many hours into a game (BotW); dicking around an open-world Hyrule is a dream come true. I beat all the divine beasts and shrines, including those in the DLC. All I’ve left is to storm Hyrule Castle one man army style, but now I’ve got a motorcycle I can road trip all of Hyrule with many times over. I swear everything in this game is a distraction LOL!

SM:O made me realize how badly I want a Bowser stand alone game. Nintendo, please make it happen! All other main cast Mario characters got their own games, now make 2018 the year of Bowser!

XBC2 is great! Perhaps not as strong as the original, but still a great game. I love the combat system and the customization of abilities is addictive, and Pyra is perfection!

Since then I’ve purchased Arms (I loved this game more than I anticipated), and Splatoon 2 (FRAKMETHISGAMEISCRACK!!!111).

Oh, and of course I have to add that I played all these games in many different locations! The Switch is a friggin’ MVP, straight up!

y’know, there should be a new Wario game… I’d prefer a 3D sort of thing, really… but I’d definitely get it. I haven;t even had a Wario game since Wario Blast wayyyyy back on the Gameboy, but I just like that character and want to goof around in a 3d world as him. There was one on Gamecube that I intended to get but never got around to it.

On another note— Dead Cells is coming to Switch, I see… hell yeah this is automatically the definitive version then; I’m immediately sold.

I’ve been hooked on playing some challenge mode stuff in **Rive **lately… there’s one I keep playing over and over where you fight this boss that spawns indefinitely, I guess… highest score was 2 million something so far… I should actually play this at home though so my scores can post to the leaderboard. Once again a warning with that game— difficulty ramps up to the extreme in no time, folks. It’s one of those where the slightest mistimed jump, the slightest imperfection in your movements… that means everything goes to shit FAST, and you’re probably dead in the next 1 or 2 seconds.

A new Wario Land game would be sweet. The last one was released for the Wii. It’s definitely time for a new one.

There was a wario land for the Wii?

Wario Land: Shake-it!

Ooh right

We need a new Wario Land game

I’m not against a new wario land. All the ones I played were solid.

People on reddit are ridiculous. There was a thread in r/Nintendoswitch about how since they supported Nintendo during the Wii U (what they literally called “dark times”) that they should get “deep discounts” on the Wii U ports the switch is getting.

What kind of self entitled bullshit is that? Like, the audacity of some people.

While I agree some of the ports shouldn’t be $60 I don’t think we deserve a deep discount on the ports they’re providing. They’re giving these games a much deserved second chance on a system that is actually selling unlike the Wii U. If Nintendo wants to charge full price than let em. All the ports they’ve provided so far have been welcomed with open arms and the additions to those ports have been welcomed and beloved by people who have bought them. I wish they’d make more DLC for MK8 Deluxe.

I want more Wii U ports. Super Mario 3D World and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker would be welcome additions to the switch library. Even niche titles like Wonderful 101 deserve a second chance.

The Wii U was a failure and this is coming from someone who absolutely loved the Wii U but it was a failure. Their first in a long time but man, to ask to he compensated for supporting Nintendo during a bad time is just fucking silly.

The most important game they could port to Switch from Wii U would be Super Mario Maker.

Im genuinely happy people will get a chance to play games that I seriously enjoyed for the system. The only that annoys me is that most didnt give the Wii U the chance to enjoy the good stuff.

The reputation of the Wii U tainted the appeal of those games. Hopefully the Switch gives these titles a 2nd chance

Basically. I’m just glad people are finally seeing the Wii U actually had a solid library it was just a bad system (and even then it was really just bad marketing that killed the Wii U). Now that more eyes are on the Wii U titles hopefully more ports will happen. Which means yes I want another port of wind waker and twilight princess hd. Wind waker is my favorite console Zelda so having it on the go would he ammmmaaaazzziiiinnnggg.

Mario maker on the switch would be hard I think since it was one of the games that truly utilized the Wii U game pad. Even the 3ds port utilized the bottom screen more than most 3ds games. Bringing it to single screened system would be hard

The Switch screen does support touch, and if Nintendo no stupid they could write up an app to make a smart phone or tablet fuction with the game when the system in docked mode

Be careful, I got shit on pretty hard here for having this exact opinion. I thought SMM used the Gamepad better than most other games, but people seem to think you could do just fine with a single screen. Either way, I hope it comes to the Switch.

It would make sense say if Mario Kart 8 didn’t get the DLC from Wii U but MK8 Deluxe got all DLC AND battle mode added in plus a few more characters. I never finished Capt Toad and thought the game would be better on a tablet or phone but with Switch its perfect for a game like Capt Toad.

That what often happens with ports and remastered and deluxe editions

Which is all the more reason to not complain about a game moving to a new console.
