Man I’m lovin FFTA2. Even though some bullshit laws piss me off I simply can’t put this game down.

Update your R4 system files from the main site.

Compared to FFTA1, the consequence to breaking a law in FFTA2 is a slap on the wrist. In FFTA1, if one of your characters breaks a law, he gets sent to jail immediately, and you have to wait a certain amount of time or pay off his bail, which can be ridiciulous. At least in FFTA2, you just lose your advantage, so I just end up playing like I dont have one.

Do I have to DL all 3 ver. 1.18 files and replace the ones in my chip? Cuz I only copied the English 1.18 to my chip and I still get it as Ver. 1.14

i’m very excited for chrono trigger. i’m excited to try the touch screen feature. i enjoy it more than the dpad sometimes.

I’m racking my brain as to what I want to go with. I know I’m not that far in the game yet but to me moogles seem to be the weakest race thus far. The thief got nerfed to hell with his stealing capabilities, I heard he lost steal ability also. They aren’t great spell casters in the early going like Nu Mou or Human mages, and I haven’t ran into a lot of Instruments for Animist (which I like a lot for supports)

Viera’s are still useful, my most preferred class in FFTA1. Magic this early is really up to the Nu Mou, so Fencer is the way to go. The fencing capabilities leave something to be desired though, Swarmstrike and Featherblow have laughable dam ratios. Green Mages are nice and I thought about a combination for that (since those damn Hop Bunnies get on my nerves)

Bangaa is perhaps the most improved race from 1, that or Nu Mou because the degree of monsters types/weaknesses Black Mages can exploit. The bosses haven’t really bothered me that much, some missions have though. I enjoyed a battlefield of died bodies, made it look more dramatic lol.

We talking about A2? Humes with Flair (Parivir ability) and Geomancy rape the whole game. Assassins got NERFED, but Viera can still beast with Ultima Masher and Blood Price. Dual Wield + Magick Frenzy works really well too, so I hear.

bah forget my last post. here’s a quick list of useful classes with races

**HUME:
**-paladin/parivir with geomancy
-paladin/seer with dual wield
-illusionist/seer with turbo MP

all of them do crazy damage. my main guy is a paladin/parivir since paladin/parivir does the best single target damage and in the fights he’s in that usually seems to be the more important than the AoE damage that the other combos do.

VIERA:
-summoner/red mage with blood price
-sniper/assassin with blood price or concentration depending if you have green mage in party
-green mage/red mage with blood price

with summoner can do double cast with red mage subskills and blood price uses hp instead of mp. summoners make for better healers than white mages as well. assassins can get over 78%+ on chance to hit on their skills with concentration and tranq buff from green mages and green mages are a great buff/debuff class

**NU MOU:
**-sage/alchemist
-sage/time mage

I find half MP works best since I usually use MP efficiency for my law bonus. ultima blow only costs like 8mp and does a ton of damage as it is.

**MOOGLE:
**-fusilier/moogle knight with concentration

has some useful debuffs and has ultima shot with moogle knight subskills

**GRIA:
**-hunter/ravager with unscarred

sidewinder, ultima shot, and sneak attack are great. when you can’t use ultima shot sidewinder and sneak attack can do just as much damage.

SEEQ:
-ranger/lanista with item lore

no real reason for lanista, it can be fun. probably just better off with ranger/item cause the other seeq classes aren’t very good haha. rangers are great because of the mirror item skill, you can do 400 damage with an x-potion and use downs to KO opponents. also the awareness skill is pretty useful.

**BANGAA:
**-mastermonk/white monk with unscarred
-defender/gladiator
-cannoneer/gladiator
-tricker/gladiator

m.monk does a ton of damage and my favorite melee combo for bangaa. don’t really like the defender class but they have good stat growth and that skill that prevents them from taking damage for a turn is pretty useful. the last two combos probably aren’t that popular but I love cannoneers because they’re ranged, do great damage with ultima sword and they have ether shell which I use on my hume illusionist/seer with turbo mp. tricksters I find are really fun, sure they use MP and bangaas aren’t known for that but the card attack animation is great and the debuffs are awesome.

HURDY:
-juggler/bard

sure he’s pretty useless for the most part but you have to take him so why not do something with him. Juggler/bard is a pretty good support class and juggler has some good debuffs. Not to mention I like to use him and a sage/time mage combo. you can chain smile toss and quicken to move to any point in the map and you can nail someone with an ultima blow. Also if you use half mp and mp efficiency you will actually gain MP on each turn with this combo.
