The Nina Williams Thread

TANK YOU VURRY MUSH!

I thought safe jumps weren’t as effective in this game since the is 2 frames of recovery upon landing but if you do an aerial normal its 4 frames of recovery. Or am i highly misinformed?

I unno… hence why I’m asking you guys. I’m sure there are safe jumps. It doesn’t make sense that there aren’t any in the game. Someone would have found one out by now, but I’ll look into it myself and find out for sure.

Thanks lookin forward to le’ findings

P.s now thinking about it some Nina safe jumps would be pretty sick with her wierd jump and aerial crossups.

her crossups are pretty blah, hard to do.

Well hopefully her j.MK will have a solid crossup hitbox next month.

She has the frame data of a top tier, good pokes, easy damage off links and tekken strings, decent walk speed, can use the boost system to her advantage, the only thing she lacks really is a reversal. Dont see how she isnt played more. Come 2013 she will be more recognized.

she also hits like a truck.

“Hits like a truck” the sfxt forum’s buzz phrase for every high damage character lol. and regarding her cross ups,you need to make use of that weird jump arc, since her j.mp seems to be ambiguous as hell. Shit I wait until I land to see where im going to take my combo from there.

Starting to get down the Double Skull Splitter combos but its still inconsistent. Any tips to make it so I can actually rely on landing this damn thing more than once out of 4 tries?

J.hp crosses up in the corner easier if you delay it a little and its a bit early it hits the same side.

Try using st.mp instead of cr.hp, the timing is a bit easier in exchange for about 15 damage.

I double tap everything, so I rarely drop it (though I did drop it in the match I had with JiBbo in ssf4evo’s newest SFXT video)

But generally I have two ways to hit it consistently.
1.) The first skull crusher loop hits low, then immediately go into the fierce one, which will leave them at the right height
2.) Hit the first skull crusher loop high, wait till the fall at Nina’s head, cr. fierce fierce skull crusher, puts them at the right height

But if you ever think you’re gonna drop it, just ivory cutter and if it hits, tag cancel, or just tag

The first one you mentioned is what I had started doing now and it seems more consistent since I only have to space/time one Skull Splitter rather than both.

Timing the ivory cutter is a pain in the ass for me. I just use blonde bomb as my ender

if you go for bomb ending you can add another cr.hp before cancelling it into bomb if i recall correctly.
geyser-cr.hp-geyser-cr.hp-bomb definitely works, so i guess it should work with splitters aswell.

Did anyone see me in ssf4evo’s first sfxt video yesterday?

Why do u guys do these double skullsplitter combos? Whats wrong with just doing her geyser combos? It will do nearly as much dmg and is infinitely easier. Ending with ivory cutter is also very easy off a geyser.
